Stand By Your Man

YHC doesn’t post at 0515 workouts every week - the times I have, the numbers have been, shall we say, non-problematic. However, on this particular Halloween morning there are 17 PAX, including 2 FNGs, up and at ’em at Koka Booth. Time to move. Warm Up Mosey to the big parking lot, circle up and warm up. SSHs and some other stuff, finish off with 5 CF merkins. The Thang Partner up for Tammy Wynette intervals: Partner 1 completes 20 Merkins while Partner 2 completes 20 squats, then flip flop. A Long Stiffness

16 PAX braved the second darkest AO in all of Carpex to see if YHC could really cause them all a long stiffness. EC was a plenty, as YHC was tricked into 3+ miles at around an 8 min pace. There were no FNGs, the disclaimer was given, and the pledge was recited. Warm Up Gassed from the long and fast EC, YHC decided to have the PAX circle up immediately for the following exercises: [Read More]

Pre-Blast was the ultimate fire starter. Yoga Mat is the benchmark.

Eight Years

I had to de-commit from a BH Halloween Q, so I scooped up this FWD Q toward the end of last week. Knew it was going to be sandwiched between a late night return from being DR and an insane week at work, but the importance around the day itself made committing to this make sense… FNG Check - F3 Mission Statement - Disclaimer - FOLLOW ME! MiL loves her new Condo

Well, there goes my last excuse, time to ring that second bell. Warm-up 20 HIMs mosey through the balls. YHC thought to cause some chaos in people’s days by skipping the good mornings, but reflex took over and everyone got their good morning before arms circles and perfectly led seal claps. Thang 1 Tired of feeling the threat of dropping a rock on YHC’s head, we hit the rock pile first for three rounds of overhead presses, dollar bill pickups, and ruh-rows. [Read More]

Letting Go at Slippery When Wet

After two and a half years of posting, YHC finally got around to Q’ing. It was a glorious day for a VQ as the feel of fall was in the air and the PAX were in a jovial mood. We had 22 PAX in attendance (including 1 doing the IronPAX) and there were no FNGs. We started with the pledge and then ran to the playground-facing lot for a warm up as it was the only lit area in the entire AO beyond the bathrooms. [Read More]

Stetson Original

YHC had the opportunity to do my VQ at the AO where I started F3 nearly one year ago. I planned my workout on paper, used google maps to count light poles, drove through the office complex parking lot a few times, so I felt ready up until I got to the parking lot for the main event. Then my nerves got the best of me and I botched the mission and tried to say the Pledge of Allegiance in cadence and forgot the disclaimer for the FNG. [Read More]

BRR Taper 9/3/19 FWD

Several for some EC runs. 19 for the main event. A brief cluster disclaimer and mission statement was provided. Follow me jog to that Church on the right on the way to Waverly do some warm-ups and stretching. Follow me to the Mulkey, no Calyx, no NV5 parking lot entrance for some Monkey Humpers. Follow me to the nice pretty area in Waverly Place. Partner up (probably should have just counted 1s and 2s but oh well). [Read More]

The Triple Nickel

It’s BRR Season, and that means hills and excessive (debatable) running at most AO’s, especially if you’re not on a BRR team. Today was no exception, and 13 studs posted at the earliest AO in all of Carpex this warm, muggy morning, several of whom just ran the Maynard the day before. I remember when Recovery-sacking was customary after a Maynard. Those good ‘ole days were just last year! I wanted to ensure I was prepared, so in the event a pax or two were just adamantly opposed to doing the BRR Prep workout, I had something special for them, though I advised against it. [Read More]
