Redemption

So it was a day to redeem myself for my less than strong Q at Hells Bells the previous day. The workout was well designed—maybe the best is Carpex’s history—but I had not considered the effects of the Odyssey on my body. 5:45: We had an FNG (that’s my story and I’m sticking to it) so I rattled off the disclaimer (“we won’t leave you where we found you, but we will leave you in a well lit area. Hotspot & Sooey were none-the-wiser

It has been a loooong time since I have Q’ed A-Team, so I thought I’d dig through the Backblasts to see what we did. As I was reading I thought this was a pretty good workout. Good enough to be repeated. And unless someone had a really good memory, maybe I can get away with it seeming “original.” The only two people who were there the first time were Hotspot and Sooey, and luckily they didn’t even notice. Franklinaversary - 5th edition

On the last Monday in September in 2014, YHC was privileged to be an FNG at an A-Team workout. Today, YHC took the opportunity of his anniversary to repeat his inaugural F3 workout, this time as the Q, just as I did on the last Monday in September 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018. Following the first time I participated in this workout (under the leadership of Denali), I couldn’t raise my arms above my head for 3 days and couldn’t walk properly for 6 days. [Read More]

MiL loves her new Condo

Well, there goes my last excuse, time to ring that second bell. Warm-up 20 HIMs mosey through the balls. YHC thought to cause some chaos in people’s days by skipping the good mornings, but reflex took over and everyone got their good morning before arms circles and perfectly led seal claps. Thang 1 Tired of feeling the threat of dropping a rock on YHC’s head, we hit the rock pile first for three rounds of overhead presses, dollar bill pickups, and ruh-rows. [Read More]

And in this corner...

With the upcoming Haven House Rumble, YHC thought I should try to train at least a little bit for the dance around the squared circle. It was a great morning to show up with a loosely developed plan. Watching a few clips of The One and Only Tony Horton inspired some P90x style exercises. 0545 Circle Up, Mission, Pledge, Disclaimer Warm-Up: a couple of fellowship mosey trips around the pickle with some invigorating butt kickers, high knees, and karaokes.
