Valentine’s Day is all about the HEART!!!

Date: 2/15 PAX: Wrench, How How, Big Red, Animal, EarharT, Loom, Smokey, Shipper, Texas Ranger, Seahawk, WWW, Deuce, Horatio I checked the Steve forecast and low and behold, he was blasting out 28 degrees but dry. Beautiful morning for a workout in the gloom. Once all the PAX arrived and 0530 hit, I called out some test questions (Mission, Core Values, and Credo) and we recited the Pledge of Allegiance. We headed out for a light mosey around the pickle and back to the flag to circle up for warm-up. [Read More]

Q on the fly!

Let me just take a moment and say this was a historic morning in the POGL. This one might be a bit long back blast but it was definitely one for the F3Carpex history books! A little background: Fresher course, just in case: POGL: Peak of Good Living Apex (/ˈeɪ.pɛks/) is a town in Wake County, North Carolina, United States. Apex encompasses the community of Friendship at its southern border. In 1994, the downtown area was designated a historic district, and the Apex train depot, built in 1867, is designated a Wake County landmark. [Read More]

Ropes and a tire.

When Wrench announced he couldn’t keep his tire at his new house and wanted to see if we could stash it somewhere, I jumped on this chance to get it. I want this tire. We made arrangements to get it to Hells Bells and with no Q on the sheet for the week, YHC threw his own name up there to get the first chance with the tire. So 22 HIMS showed up this morning, no fngs. [Read More]

Bad News...

McCants posted last night on slack that he had some bad news. He was down with a bug and needed someone to step up and take his Phoenix Q this morning. Well, it was really bad news for the PAX to give YHC the trifecta to have three Qs in a row to celebrate 3 years of F3. A solid group of 19 PAX showed up at Bond Park to join in the 2nd of 3 Sooey anniversary Qs. [Read More]

Airball

Hey guys, it’s me. Yes, I’ve gotten my passport stamped…again. This week, it’s a trip the legendary Bradford’s Ordinary. I packed a lunch and a bag, and eventually arrived in that glorious location tucked away in the very quaint and bricky beige downtown Cary. Cars in the parking lot indicated guys were either getting in a nap or on an EC run. I honestly don’t know which. Last night my downtrodden, beloved Tarheels lost a nail-biter in Blaxberg. Pick Your Poison

Another cold morning could not keep the men of Carpex in the fartsack, 19 showed up for the Main Event, many took part in multiple EC run opportunities. Warm-Up Mosey around the pickle in front of the shelter and circle up for imperial walkers, arm circles, copperhead squats, cherry pickers and burpees. The Thang Mosey over to the rock pile and grab a High Rep Rock and circle up for Pick Your Poison. [Read More]

Re-evaluating Life Decisions

Early this morning, YHC, Wrench, Flenderson, Two Factor, Jiggly Puff, and some random Maynard participants gather at the Cary Senior Center. For some crazy reason YHC decided to join in on the EC festivities offered by Wrench on Slack last night. We started the morning at 5:30 setting out for a 5 mile loop. 54 minutes and 5.51 miles later YHC arrived back to the senior center for the ME. I was beat and clearly questioning my life decisions at that point. [Read More]

Sevens on the Seventh

14 studs met up at Bond Park and didn’t let colder than expected temperatures keep them from being awesome and putting in a hour of hard work. Warm-Up Mosey over to the community center parking lot and circle up for imperial walkers, arm twirlies (forward and reverse), copperhead merkins, copperhead squats and Gooooood Mornings. The Thang Mosey to the back of the community center, partner up grab a rock-yo-body sized rock. [Read More]

It's not what you might think

21 PAX arrived at Phoenix expecting a Wrench Q, unaware of the backroom dealings that had transpired in which YHC took the Q. Exclamations of joy and thanksgiving erupted from the crowd upon hearing the news that for the next 60 minutes they’d be treated to a heaping dose of YHC’s shenanigans. One FNG, so in addition to a thorough briefing from Earhart, a quick disclaimer was offered and the 23 of us headed out. [Read More]

DZ - Part Deux

The second last minute switch of the morning as Burt had injured his finger opening cans of pre-mixed egg nog and bourbon seltzer, or something. Once the PAX who could only take the warm up part of DZ had left, Wrench, Free Lunch and YHC did a quick mosey to the end of the car park for some good mornings (5), daisy pickers (10) and eskimo merkins (1 - 10 count).
