Rock Webbs Rock?

Arrived at 5:00ish to with my new headlamp to scout out some areas we hadn’t visited in awhile. Amazed that there were already at least 6 cars parked on Laura Duncan with HIMs lunge walking the hill, the Army Physical Fitness testing and EC running. Way to start this week off strong! Warm Up - Good Mornings (SW style), SSH, Runners Stretch Calf Stretch, Sir Fazio, Overhead, Seal Thang 1 - 11s on the hill - Mountain Climbers up top, Jump Squats at the bottom. [Read More]

Pre-BRR Hills Today Boys

YHC called a pre-BRR hill day with four laps up the big hill along Cary Parkway (0.8 mi round trip). A few HIM’s arrived early for the EC, then we went right to it. Frying Pan joined us from Rock Hill, SC. Quick warm up over by the CrossFit place, then off to the hill for the workout. Top exercises (one each lap): 30 LBC’s; 30 Freddie Mercs (4 ct); 30 Dying Cockroaches; 30 Hello Dollies. [Read More]

The Freedom Trail July 4th Convergence

@Qwerty, @Red Ryder and YHC met last week to plan the 2019 July 4th Convergence hoping to create something special. Our goal was to keep the PAX together in order to preserve fellowship and maybe a few exercises in-between. The disclaimer was disclaimed, the F3 Mission was delivered and Whitney Houston’s Star Spangled Banner put the PAX in a USA state of mind that included a Fly Over courtesy of Delta. [Read More]

Starting posish, move.

It won’t be 10, but ya boi will lock it down this week, so let’s go. -- To start: Heavy hearts across F3 Raleigh and beyond after hearing the news that Warchild (Alec Romulus) lost his battle with addiction this weekend. He was way too you. We lifted up him and his family through a moment of silence before the workout and many of our pax were in black from head to toe. [Read More]

Hey There!

Started the morning with an EC run. I can’t remember who I ran with but while we were running a young man on his bike rode by, stopped and then came back to us and asked if we were with F3. Of course we said yes, told him where to go, and headed to the flag. His hospital name is Niko (with an N) and since he had posted in Davidson, his F3 name is “Hey There. [Read More]

Four More Years!

YHC joined F3 four years ago, and Ma Bell was the Q at my first workout. Back then there was only one AO per day, Monday through Friday, and he was Q’ing the whole week to celebrate his 50th birthday. Remember that number, it will be important later. I found the backblast from that first post and modified the workout for today, with Ma Bell’s assistance. It was a little tougher than a normal Disco Duck beatdown. [Read More]

Battle Rope Monday

Two weeks ago, Squatter busted out a battle rope at FWD. I loved how much I hated it, so I ordered one for my home gym (aka, 8 square feet in my garage, usually covered by tricycles). Fast forward to my VQ. A-Team leans problematic, and I suspected the VQ trainwreck might draw some additional bodies, so I tried to brainstorm some ways to corral the masses. I settled on Battle Rope Monday. "Are we doing that Clock Thingy Workout?"

So this is the fourth time I’ve pulled out this workout, but It has yet to get a name that has stuck. Term Paper remembered it and yelled out the above quote as we did our warm up run, but I don’t think Clock Thingy Workout is the one. Today I Googled “Circle of Fitness” and two things happened. First, this random guy’s image came up, and two, I saw something that read “Wheel of Fitness. [Read More]

Flirtin' with The Murph

Hi-Liter asked me to step in for the FWD Q this week, I was honored! Leading up to the Q, I thought to myself, What would Hi-Liter do? I figured it had been at least 4 or 5 days since his last Murph, so it must be time for another Murph, right?! But the famous Memorial Day Murph convergence is right around the corner. Now FWD is strategically placed .5 miles from Cary’s flagship pedestrian bridge, which is irresistible to YHC with the Q. [Read More]
