Merkins and Burpees

Signing up to Q is a good way to ensure that you’ll show up to the workout. YHC took the DAC Q spot this week to help prevent the Friday fart sack. Here is what we did: 5:30 time for the pledge and we were off! Warm up: Jog around the front parking lot and circle up. Had to switch it up from Monday! What is Frisco's name on slack today?

FYI Bartman, this is a 5:45 start AO and not 5:30. FYI Frisco, this is a 5:45 start AO and not 5:46. I apologize for all of the Frisco attention in this one. He attempted to start a brotherly quarrel on Slack between Water Wings and me a day before the workout. Mosey behind the bathroom building to hide from Frisco who showed up late, but he found us anyways. Then continued the mosey to the left lot for warm-ups. [Read More]

It's Quarantine Day... Again

Getting back is hard, but making it out is rewarding! Today marks the 1-Year Anniversary to my affiliation with F3. For those who don’t know the story, Earhart had been working hard talking F3 up to me for years (he and I were part of the same Y-Guide Tribe.) I finally pulled the chord and decided to give it a try, after years of Treadmill running and T25 (I did a month of Camp Gladiator as it was free too. [Read More]

Who the heck is Rainbow Larry?

When I woke up and heard the thunder and rain I didn’t even flinch. I just rolled out of bed and continued my morning routine. I knew it was going to be wet. I just hoped the Q, Rainbow Larry would keep us relatively dry in the case of a downpour. Luckily Dantes Peak has a nice Pavilion with benches. When YHC finally pulled into the AO I noticed Cheddar Bo had unlocked the gates. [Read More]

RESPECT

This Guy! Largemouth, Denali and Wonderbread for some EC laps around the AO. Today is a perfect example of never giving up on your dreams. I’ve waited for this day for 50 years and it finally happened. You see kids…. Great group of defiant HIM this morning for an early rollout of Phase 2. We ran, circled up, and celebrated the day of my birth with 5 Good Mornings; 19 Steve Earles; and 70 (IC) SSH. [Read More]

TY4YL

F3 Carpex is officially closed down, due to the coronavirus pandemic. This was not in the cards for 2020. YHC had been planning a 50th birthday Q for quite a while. Now, even though we’re officially closed, there are some unofficial workouts going on. I didn’t feel comfortable pre-blasting a place/time for an unofficial workout, just due to the inability to control numbers. So instead, let’s all do a Murph. On your own, with a few guys, however you want to. [Read More]

What a co-inky-dink

At 0510 I parked my car at Apex Nature Park. At 0515 I set off on a little EC run. At 0542 I arrived back at my car to find 10 other HIM standing around. So at 0545, I asked them if they wanted to join me in some random exercising. They agreed. So we were off. Mosey to the top parking lot and circle up. **Warm-Up **Good Morning, Windmill, Steve Earle [Read More]

Can't Take It Anymore!

YHC saw the open slot on the Q sheet last week but realized it was the day after Tobacco Road, my first half marathon, and thought it might not be wise to sign up. Sunday afternoon rolled around and the sheet was still blank, and with no worse than slightly tender feet and sore quads, I thought, “eh, what the heck. I’ll probably fartsack otherwise.” 4:30 arrived with the unnerving punctuality that early Monday mornings tend to possess, and we were off to the races with plenty of time for me to sit in the truck and plan my Q. Step Up

These are strange times indeed. With the declaration of a global pandemic, due to COVID-19 infection, the world as we know it has changed. And will likely never be the same again. Our schools have closed, travel is quickly coming to a screeching halt, and may of the PAX and M’s who are accustomed to going to a job every day are being asked to work from home. Worse, due to the massive economic impact, some are losing their jobs. [Read More]

Dr. Dre makes ya feel alright

#COVID19 is now officially in full hysteria mode. I mean that in the “uncontrolled” and not “exaggerated” sense of the term since who knows if the hysteria is warranted or not. But considering that the NBA just suspended their season… and travel from Europe into the US is blocked… and America’s Dad (or whatever we are calling Tom Hanks nowadays) is not in quarantine in Australia as a result of COVID… well, the shite has gotten real.
