Happy Birthday Dante's Peak!

When: Oct 13th, 2017 QIC: Earhart The PAX: Wilbur, Bocephus, BOGO, Parker, Crimson, Freebird, Sooey, Shut-In, Malpractice, Monkey Nut, Hot Spot, GTL, Snots, Water Wings, Imp, Sooner, Spitvalve (Raleigh), YHC Earhart Can’t believe it has been a year since Shut-In and I launched Dante’s Peak. It took me a while to get the site going as it was the first site where we doubled up with Danger Zone. The PAX were resistant to adding another site, dividing Carpex on the same day, but I am glad we did. Travelin' Wilburys

Alright, listen up. Imabout tired of this early August weather IN OCTOBER. Be Fall already! Yes, I feel better now. Anyway, a great crowd of men assembled at the Mellinial Memorial Skate Park in the unseasonably warm and humid morning to get better. My guess is they did. Extra Credit: First person to tie a recent event to the title of this post wins a free cup of cheap coffee. [Read More]

BH Benchmark Day!

8/17/17 YHC decided that since no pounds have been shed in about 4 months, there has to be another way to measure my F3 fitness quotient…. WARM-UP On this fine August morning the 19 PAX headed west on Hunter St to the Bladestone Ct parking lot for a little stretching and warm-up. A few SSH, merkins, calf stretches and good mornings was all we needed (no arm circles today boys…). [Read More]

Little of this, little of that

9/28/17 Rumors were amidst the PAX this morning that there had been some Q shopping to avoid another Benchmark day with YHC. Dismayed as they were, YHC decided to save for a later time, thanks to the beat down given by Shank and McCants on opening day for Full Metal Jacket., AKA The Murph. WARM-UP Mosey west on Hunter Street to the Baucom Elementary bus parking lot for some SSH, Merkins, calf stretches, and good mornings. [Read More]

Don't Sandbag Me Bro

Welcome to Day 2 of the Back-to-Back Beaker Beatdown (B4 [TM]). I want to let you in on a little secret. I typically sign up to Q with an idea already in mind. Like, “Wouldn’t it be fun to carry five gallons of water around and then hop on a sled pulled by my fellow PAX?” But, when I was perusing the F3Carpex website looking at Q sheets last Friday, I noticed a glaring hole at SNS this coming week, so I jumped on it. Cool Runnings at FOD

Despite several ominous warnings on the GroupMe, 17 PAX arrived at FOD in the cool crisp air for Day1 of a Back-to-Back Beaker Beatdown (BBBB, B Quartic, B4 - I’m just dropping a TM on any variant of 4 Bs). Franklin and Airbag had to be coaxed out of the warm and cozy Wolfpack Red 4Runner with promises (lies?) of a not-too-difficult Q that would be much more difficult for the rest of the PAX if they didn’t join. Got to keep things moving...

My wife was out late last night so I ended up staying up late too which made me a little nervous about the early morning Q. We had a good crowd when I got there and per usual Flouride showed up right on time with Midler right behind him. Then we were off. Warm Up Jog to the lake up to the amphitheater - SSH, GM, and WMH. Got a little mumble chatter so we headed around the lake. [Read More]

Brought to you by the letter B

YHC was dismayed last Friday to learn that the one day I was taking off last week was the day F3Carpex went burpee crazy, and I missed all the fun. Fortunately I had the next Dante’s Peak Q and an opportunity to help make #burpeefriday a thing. Warm-up Mosey to the circle for side stradle hopes, burpees (the best warm-up exercise), imperial walkers, merkins and mountain climbers. Thang 1 Mosey over to the basketball courts, count off by fours, each group takes a corner. [Read More]

Bears v Crabs Rematch

That didn’t happen. Not enough PAX today to field even one team, but 8 men did show up for what was arguably the best work out of the day. When: September 25, 2017 AO: Wolverine QIC: Biner Warm Up Jog around the pickle a few times with some backwards run and karaoke mixed in. Circle up in the little field. Windmills x 10, SSH x 30, PJs x 15, Fazio Arm Circles x10 each direction, Mountain Climbers x 15, Wolverines x 5. [Read More]

Merkins, Murph, Burpees.

Is there really more I need to say? I guess maybe that there were some LBCs and Freddie Mercuries sprinkled in, or that Large Mouth runs like an antelope out of control, or that my co-site Q Shank made the most amazing shovel flag ever (complete with hand-created camouflage), or that same said co-site Q provided the 20 PAX brave enough to post at FMJ with Gatorade and camo F3 koozies, or that Khakis did his best Grease Monkey impression by lacing up at 0530 on the nose.
