B-day Q-Week Begins!

As I reflect on the year that has been and prepare to celebrate the completion of my 58th trip around the sun, I busted out the music from the decade of my birth and started the beat downs. Warm-ups The mission, disclaimer, and pledge were recited. There were no FNGs. We ran from the flag to the top right parking lot listening to Aretha sing “Respect” where we circled up. Warm-ups consisted of Side Straddle Hop, Good Mornings, Imperial Walkers, Sir Fazzio Arm Circles, Merkins, and Plank Calf Stretch. Shakin' & Stirrin'

Warm & beautiful morning in Cary’s Bond Park for Shaken not Stirred – great group of hard workin’ men too! It was my pleasure to lead such a group & I thoroughly enjoyed it! No FNGs, only familiar faces. Started with the pledge & moved out to a close-by parking lot. The group was informed that this is F3 – modify as necessary! We rolled into: The Warm Up Circle up for SSH, good mornings, windmills, cotton pickers, calf-stretch merkins, mountain climbers, etc. [Read More]

More like HIMstamine, am I right?

Holy hell, dat yellow stuff is everywhere. Regardless, we pushed through. A group of HIM out for an EC run, and YHC set off to chase down Theismann for ECP. Check out our convo on getting better on today’s PUT6. We wrapped up recording just in time to hear the pax getting restless, it must be spot on 0545. A backwards run for the Q gave me a chance to drop the moving disclaimer on the pax before we’re up to the lot for warmups. [Read More]

Sub's Sub

When the scheduled Q doesn’t show up for the workout it’s up to the site Q’s to provide the beatdown the PAX have come for. With our brother Sub AWOL, and after losing four of seven games of rock, paper, scissors to co-site Q Smokey, it was up to YHC to deliver. Warm-Up Mosey into the park, notice the batting cages, advise the PAX to remember them, perform ten burpees to aid their memories. [Read More]

An IMPromptu Beatdown

Riptide was on the Q sheet. Unfortunately, his M is very sick and he wasn’t able to make it. He did message the site q’s in advance, but I didn’t see the message until after the workout. Rooney had work early this AM, so YHC took the helm for a Q off the top of the dome. Here’s what went down: WARM-UP Jog over to the Pre-School parking lot. Mosey over to the Pre-School parking lot. #F3MentalBattle

37 shakers and vesperers came in to the gloom on special day across F3 Nation, a day where we set aside some time during COT to talk about mental health. But first we have to squeeze 45 minutes of pain into 35 minutes. To help us out, and to illustrate a point, we’re taking one of the Rolling Stone coupons with us, a solid, sturdy log, large and heavy enough that it requires two PAX to carry it. [Read More]

Just in Time Training

I still don’t wear a watch during these workouts. While it’s always good to see Biner, unless he’s Qing of course (then you just have to channel your inner Spartan warrior), he provided the necessary time checks along the way during this particularly time sensitive workout. It was only time sensitive in that we were traveling a long way from the flag and everyone likes arrive home on time. 17 showed, 2 kept Sooey company as he continues his recovery walks, so 14 of launch for a trip around the Apex Lake.
