McCants Tribute

YHC told the PAX last night that today’s workout would be a tribute to our brother McCants, who is down in Wilmington recovering from a fall this weekend. Some thought that meant a Murph, but no, it just meant we were all going to give it 110%. Warm-Up Mosey over to the front of the school and circle up for side straddle hops, imperial walkers and cotton pickers. The Thang [Read More]

What's that smell?

AO: Full Metal Jacket QIC: Pickles Twelve PAX were assembled in the soupy pre-dawn gloom, and ready to go for YHC’s first ever FMJ Q. Gather at the flag for the Pledge of Allegiance and we’re off on a nice easy mosey. A couple of cars came rolling in as we pulled away – someone’s tardy, and we’ll all have to pay. Circle up at the first drive way for… WHOAH! [Read More]

Run. Reflect. Get after it. Run some more.

With YHC prepping for a weekend away, and a late open Q at DZ (given some shifting Q’s), I jumped at the chance to Q at Northern Cary’s premiere AO on a Friday. Oh, what’s that Pet Sounds, you want to co-Q? Cool. Oh wait, it’s 0544… no Pet… nevermind. Never-the-less, 12 patriots showed up and these boys were looking fast AF in their red shirts. With that, we’re off and headed towards the Veteran’s Memorial (about 1 mile away). [Read More]

"Time and tide wait for no man" - G. Chaucer

Additionally, time doesn’t wait for the Q either. And while I was well aware of the start time, once we started, I forgot we ended at 6:15, not 6:30. I’m going to blame it on the rain. It actually wan’t too bad this morning. Light drizzle, not heavy downpour and warmish temps. As you can imagine, nobody got dehydrated. It’s 5:30 so off we went. Light warm up jog to the loading dock where we: (reps are approximate) [Read More]

Virgin Wolverines Hunting Sloths on a Track in South Merka

The path to Q’dom had to start somewhere, for Tubeless it started at Wolverine. 12 brave PAX showed up to attack the time change, put a hurting on Monday, and celebrate YHC’s VQ. Things were off to a great start as Jiggly Puff made his return to the gloom after having his 2.2 Gus. All PAX were stoked to see him. Welcome back Jiggly Puff! Speaking of PAX, YHC was stoked to see 12 PAX post for the Tubeless VQ. [Read More]

Mucho Chesto Merkin Mile

Wolverine’s starting time moves to 5:30 next week, and YHC was honored to Q the final 5:45 workout. It’s a special occasion, so I knew I had to bring something special. I pulled into the parking lot and the conditions were perfect. Dark, raining, not really cold but certainly not warm. Perfectly gloomy. Warm-Up Mosey over to the middle school parking lot and circle up for imperial walkers, Sir Fazios forward, Sir Fazios backwards, hill billies and cotton pickers, all x 15. [Read More]

The OCTOTHREAT is real, people. Prepare yourselves!

Another glorious day in the gloom is upon us and YHC is ready for his second ever solo Q at his favorite AO, Bradford’s Ordinary (BO for short). As always, there’s been a lot of mumble chatter in CARPex and YHC has been trying to keep up. If only there was a way to organize our chatter in such a manner where one could easily find topics of conversation and @ their favorite PAX in order to provoke an immediate reply. Fly, Eagles Fly! (5 Feb 2018)

13 Hung(over)ry PAX showed up at Wolverine for holy-cow-that-was-an-amazing-Superbowl-so-GO-EAGLES beatdown. Temps were modest for January, no rain, and no last-minute additions. Somebody had to help Hi-Liter with his strap-on (Breathtaker, that is). Welcome and disclaimer to Tubeless’ Father-in-Law Dennis, and we’re off to the races. Warm up: A moderate mosey pace down to Davis Drive Middle, with a little side-shuffle left and right along the way. Circle up for 20 SSH IC, 15 mountain climber IC, 15 plank jacks IC, 15 merkins IC.
