Starting 11

Who would have imagined how closely today’s Hell’s Bells would mirror Poland’s sorry game against what should have been a lowly Slovakia? But I suppose it was meant to be when the work out proceeded in a manner so similar to the game itself. Here’s how it went down. Pre-game: National anthems were sung and close-ups of millionaires mouthing the words were shown. Most of those on the pitch were born-and-bread representatives of their countries but, much like the Portuguese coach of the Polish team, some are foreign born. [Read More]

Garbage Plate

13 pax weren’t about to let a little rain stop us from enjoying this beautiful morning. Warm-Up Mosey to the end of the lot and circle up for daisy pickers, hillbillies, Sir Fazios, copperhead merkins, copperhead squats and control freak good mornings. The Thang Mosey from the south entrance to the north entrance with two merkins at each light pole. Continue our mosey to the big, beautiful soccer field. Using only half the field mosey to each corner for ten squats, with a return to the center for three burpees between corners. [Read More]

FRIENDS DON'T LET FRIENDS MISS LEG DAY

Of course the day before I’m supposed to Q Point Break, I come up lame at a workout. Well, maybe lame is a bit harsh, but I did tweak my neck/back doing world’s worst merkins and thought maybe I should avoid anything like that at my Q. So low and behold, leg day was in the cards. I had to show up early just to run around Waverly a bit since I hadn’t been to Point Break in over a year. [Read More]

Double Duty

51 is a lot different than 50 was last year. Just the situation - we are now back to getting after it in groups in the gloom. On April 15, 2020, we’d officially shut down group workouts. But one thing I wanted to keep the same. Do a Murph on my birthday. The day started with a run into Bounty Hunters, which depending on the route I choose is right about 3 miles. [Read More]

DTP Changing of the Guard

AO: Disturbing the Peace Q: YHC Even with the haze of pollen in the air, it was perfect weather in the gloom so the numbers remained high at the best AO in all of Carpex. YHC studied and recited the F3 Mission for hours prior to the post so it rolled off the tongue effortlessly to kickoff the workout, next we did the pledge of allegiance and off we went. [Read More]

Missed Shots and Merkins

Field of Dreams. The name just conjures up so many positive thoughts. YHC has spent a lot of time in this park, not related to F3. Many baseball and softball games have been played/coached/umpired out here. And it’s a great site to move around and travel. So we’re going to do a low mileage, core-heavy, sorta March Madness themed workout. Warm Up Pledge of Allegiance, and disclaimer. Do a mosey lap around the parking lots. [Read More]
