Ninjago’s Virgin Q at Rush Hour!

When: December 18th, 2018 QIC: Ninjago The PAX: Theismann, Ollie, Mojo, Dice, Kermit, Ninjago, Traffic Cone, FNG Roy, YHC Earhart 9 HIM show up for an afternoon of fun with Ninjago and his first ever Q! He had his winkie in hand and even brought a schoolmate as an FNG. Theismann came in hot (man traffic was bad in downtown Cary). Ninjago call time and we had out in a mosey toward the parking deck and take a right into the field and circle up for: [Read More]

Just Don't Re-name Me Tonya Harding

Anyone who as joined me on one of my Qs knows that if I do anything well it is that I expose the PAX to a few new exercises whether I make them up and tag them with a silly name (Drunken Snow-angel) or, as often is the case, dive deep into the Exicon to tap into the plethora of experience shared by F3 Nation. Today was no exception as I pulled out some of my favorites and added some of the lesser known as well. [Read More]

1stF #4 of 6 BD & F3’versary Q-week: Plan B – 11s with multiple burpees taboot

On my drive to Tortoises in the blistering 27⁰ temperature, I took a small detour to scope out the AO. The original area I wanted to do my planned thang would not work due to safety concerns, black ice. Safety is ALWAYS #1 in my mind when leading a group of HIM. I reverted to Plan B. As I got into my parking spot, Theismann and Spartan were getting after ECP. A Deflating BLIMPS...lands in a pile of rocks

AO: Phoenix Yesterday morning YHC, back from three weeks of travel and sacking, Q’d Slippery When Wet and tried a new way to inflate a BLIMPS. Save for a few miscounts, it mostly worked. This morning, as promised, we deflated the thing, ran around a bit, and played with rocks. Saber showed up late, but got a pass (saving the PAX from certain penalty Burpees) owing to his impressive six-pack this week (RESPECT! [Read More]

At this rate, we'll never get to the top

So except for the 3 new AOs, Rush Hour was my last site to Q to complete the 2018 Challenge. I had only been to RH one other time, the week before, but it was enough to scout out some locations and get the skinny on how things go down here. I had been told to expect a small group, so I was pleasantly surprised to see 11 other HIMS ready for the beat down. [Read More]

Deck of Death – Part Deux!

Stepping up in the gloom this morning is YHC for his Anniversary Q! 17 PAX showed up for some chilly fun. ECP: Theismann, Frisco, and Hotty Toddy showed up to prove ECP is actually easier in sub-freezing temperatures, while Chipper did a 3 mile EC run prior to the workout. War No FNGs (at this time), we head out for our limited run around the parking lot and down the hill and circle-up under the light for the: [Read More]

Thankful (especially for FNGs on Thanksgiving)

YHC is thankful for many things; my loving family, a full table this Thanksgiving, and a purpose-driven career. But, above all things, I’m thankful for the blessings of FNGs on Thanksgiving Day. More to come, but first: The annual Thanksgiving Convergence means the men of Carpex descend upon the finest AO in all the land, Bradford’s Ordinary, and this year the weather right-perfect for a proper beatdown. EC run waves launched at 0600 and 0630 (psst, Frisco showed up at 0538 texting YHC, “um when are we starting? [Read More]

Despite the forecast, a beautiful day and a disc golf hole?

It was supposed to be another rainy afternoon in paradise but despite all indications was dry as the Pax circled up. YHC was very excited to be back at the premier afternoon workout in Carpex after nearly a year away from this particular AO. 24 plus hours into nasty weather and lots of rain, I was quite concerned as to whether or not I would be posting alone. However, in typical F3 fashion 8 brave souls and YHC showed up and at 1745 we were off. Rotate. Rotate. Rotate. Rotate.

- EC Pullups: Theisman, Red Ryder, Joe Smith, Parker, Bluewater - EC Run (that’s right I said EC run): Michelob, Wonderbread, GTL, Hi-Liter, Snots, Chanticleer, Largemouth, Denali & YHC I’ve done a variation of this workout once before at SWW but I thought it would be perfect for Tortoises so I dusted it off, loaded up the Pontiac P.O.S with some fun toys to play with and the rest is soon to be Carpex History.
