19 Murphs in 2019 (2 of 19)

Pre-Blast 17 HIM for the second of 19 Murphs (in 2019) at FOD. YHC feels so inspired and encouraged by men who would make their way out on a freezing cold morning to grow stronger together. After YHC3 blasted this work out, everyman knew what they were coming out for: Stronger backs, stronger hearts in 2019. Awesome! The Warmup Pledge of Allegiance at flag. Run to the shelter, circle up for a few GMs, SSH, Merkins. [Read More]

All the lamp-posts

For some PAX, variety is the spice of life. They head out on grand adventures of Q swapping and comb the exicon for new and utterly ridiculous things to do to the human body. However, some of us prefer reliable and routine - like FOD with Beaker at the helm. It is kind of like an old pair of blue jeans. Simple. You know the pair…it has your wallet imprinted in the back right pocket and the threads are worn down where you knife goes in. [Read More]

Breaking news, Franklin Q sets the mileage record at Gran Torino

Rumor went out early on slack that YHC was going to break a mileage record at an AO, a sentence few people would ever expect to see in writing. Some showed up this morning to see if it was true, others showed up expecting it to be a record low mileage, but oh no- YHC meant serious business. He was going to attack the 3.8 mile GT distance record. 0530 - one burpee OYO, circle up for count off (18) GM and IW - and then we were off. No Mucking Way!

September 17, 2018 YHC was inspired last weekend. He spent Saturday prior running around in the mud in Denver for an MS charity. Knowing he had to figure plan a workout for the old crew on Wednesday AND that it rained a little bit in the area, inspiration quickly took hold. Not knowing exactly WHAT they were going to do, he definitely knew WHERE it was going to happen. There was even a PSA on the site AO days ahead of time. Two years of F3 - Kryptonite style

With 9/9 a Sunday (and YHC attending Wood Badge training with Chop Block somewhere in the nether regions of Carthage, NC), my Q-nerversary was scheduled months ago at Kryptonite. But between work, Scout training and various work-related shennanigans, YHC had been averaging ~4.5 hours of sleep since last Wednesday so Q’ing Kryptonite was going to be less than ideal. Then realization dawned. With the BRR only days behind them and the annual 9/11 stair climb the following day, it was likely that many of the CARPEx faithful would be ok with taking it a bit easy. Black Jack Deuces Wild

A good group of card sharks gathered this morning for a little game of Black Jack. However, counting, running, time and just good old common sense seemed to be our enemy, and although we had a good workout, we didn’t finish the game. We left the small parking lot and headed to the large parking lot doing a like backwards run and karaoke on the way and circled up right in the middle of the main entrance. [Read More]

What Time is It?

Given the significance of the concept of a Sad Clown in the F3 universe, one could think the name Flying Circus to be a bit, well, curious. Given the madness that went down at this AO on Thursday, August 23, 2018, I think the name fits. 18 HIM pledged their allegiance to the flag, and then moseyed to the basketball courts. Warm Up Good Mornings, nice and slow 2 x FNGs show up 10 Burpees OYO Hill Billies Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson arms: Circles front and backwards like Sir Fazio, except one arm at a time. [Read More]
