Chuck Norris Turns 80

March 10, 2020 marked the 80th b-day of Chuck Norris, so being Texas Ranger, I had to celebrate. Seven other lucky PAX came along with me at AO-Claymore. Warm-up: 80 SSH single count, 8 good mornings, 8 hill billy. Done. The Beatdown: We moseyed over to the rock pile and YHC instructed the PAX to pick out a big A*S rock. You know, one that Chuck Norris would be proud of. [Read More]

Remember the Alamo

The Alamo fell on March 6, 1836 after a 13 day seige. To commemorate the anniversary of the day, 16 PAX remembered the Alamo. We started with the Pledge and then moseyed in pairs up the road to the top of the parking garage where we circled up. Warm up - 13 reps of SSH, Hill Billy, Arm circles, plank jacks, merkins. Thang 1: The Blockade Runner relay with two lines down the length of the parking lot. [Read More]

Dora, Pull Ups, Burpees....

YHC was excited to serve up a post Super Bowl beatdown this morning at Hells Bells. Although I have not Q’d this workout in a while (actually I haven’t put my name on the Q sheet much at all over the past few years, but that will change for 2020) I was looking forward to giving the PAX something to do on this fine Monday morning. Pledge at the flag. No FNG’s and off we go…. [Read More]

Q on the fly!

Let me just take a moment and say this was a historic morning in the POGL. This one might be a bit long back blast but it was definitely one for the F3Carpex history books! A little background: Fresher course, just in case: POGL: Peak of Good Living Apex (/ˈeɪ.pɛks/) is a town in Wake County, North Carolina, United States. Apex encompasses the community of Friendship at its southern border. In 1994, the downtown area was designated a historic district, and the Apex train depot, built in 1867, is designated a Wake County landmark. [Read More]

Ropes and a tire.

When Wrench announced he couldn’t keep his tire at his new house and wanted to see if we could stash it somewhere, I jumped on this chance to get it. I want this tire. We made arrangements to get it to Hells Bells and with no Q on the sheet for the week, YHC threw his own name up there to get the first chance with the tire. So 22 HIMS showed up this morning, no fngs. [Read More]

Bad News...

McCants posted last night on slack that he had some bad news. He was down with a bug and needed someone to step up and take his Phoenix Q this morning. Well, it was really bad news for the PAX to give YHC the trifecta to have three Qs in a row to celebrate 3 years of F3. A solid group of 19 PAX showed up at Bond Park to join in the 2nd of 3 Sooey anniversary Qs. [Read More]

Accountability 2020

The new year brings new goals. YHC has not been very good at stepping up to Q as often as I should. So, what do you do about it? You get an accountability partner and make a pack. So, for 2020, YHC and my accountability partner @Deuce will hold each other accountable to Q at least once a month. In that vain, January kicks off the accountability pack with a Co-Q at Dazed and Confused. [Read More]

There's nothing wrong with a little vanilla now and then

23 PAX showed up on a beautiful Thursday morning for a little fun and some exercise. On the run in to the AO YHC was still working on the plan for this morning. Here’s what was come up with: Warmup: One FNG, so the typical disclaimers given, but YHC struggled to remember the mission statement on the spot, so we pledged allegiance and off we moseyed to the community center.
