Dad Loves You - Now Do Those Freakin' Burpees!

Arrived at the flag at about 7:56 after a really good breakfast for dinner. You ever have breakfast for dinner? That is THE BEST. However, the ice cream sandwich after was prolly a little over the top, and YHC will regret that later. Warm Up Two laps around the pickle. Circle up for SSHs, Steve Earles, Sir Fazio arm circles, Runners stretch, calf stretch, merkins x 50 The Thang Mosey to the end of the tennis courts. [Read More]

Farewell 2020

The day was December 31st, the last day of the year 2020. Can’t remember a year before where so many people around the world were saying good riddance as they, anxiously, laid it to rest in its proverbial grave. Then vigorously covered it up with as much dirt as possible. While I agree that 2020 has been a very difficult and trying year in many ways, overall and overtime, I’m coming around to viewing 2020 from a different perspective. [Read More]

1,000 Yard Stare

When Tang came to me for advice about starting an evening workout I thought he was joking. F3 is a morning thing. We workout in the gloom because…well, I mean have you ever seen Kwik Stop in the light of day? Exactly! But I knew respects like Biner and Ma Bell were usually being put down by their nurses in the evening so maybe knowing those types would be out would bring in more PAX. [Read More]

The Push

Goal: To Push Everybody Monday of Carpex Respect Week I had never Q’d a running workout, so this was a test for me. All of my other Q’s were at Tortoises or Hells Bells or Tin2Iron - all low to no running AOs. Not known as a runner, this would be a challenge to me. So I put together a few pearls on a string to get more than a mile in. [Read More]

Once you're soaked, you can't get wetter

3 valiant PAX posted yesterday morning in the monsoon. While Jango Fett couldn’t handle the rain, Silver Fox, Deuce, and YHC could. Once we embraced the rain, it all got better…until the workout started. FIA was out in force, we looked pretty pitiful (but fierce) with our small merry band of warriors. Here’s what we did: Bounty Hunter 12 NOV 2020 0530 - Welcome, Disclaimer, Pledge 0531 - Mosey around field and onto turf [Read More]

Tour De Peak

Here’s what we did at Dante’s Peak on Friday, November 6. YHC picked up the Q from Headroom after he posted that he needed to drop it the night before. Pet Sounds and YHC for some EC pullups and running before the ME. Warm Up Pledge of Allegiance at the flag. Then mosey to the back side of the park - bear crawling the bridge along the way. Finish warming up with SSHs, Steve Earles, Moroccan Night Clubs, CF Merkins, Runner’s stretch and calf stretch [Read More]

Factor of 5 at Ragnarok on Thorsday

Date: 11/05/2020 PAX: Chewie, Seahawk, Tang. Texas Ranger, WWW, and TR’s fur baby F3 Blaze. The weather was spot on for a beatdown, mid 60’s. I was honored to Q on my 3rd visit to #au-thurs-ragnarok which earned me a hoodie. No FNGs, Pledged our Allegiance to Old Glory. off we went around the pickle (runners 2 laps, walkers 1). Circle up to warm-up: good evenings, Sir Fazios & Alleluias. [Read More]

Three

YHC celebrates Three Years with F3 today. I had to Q, and Tortoises - where I used to be site Q - was the perfect place for it. My pre-blast promised Threes, Burpees, Merkins, and Music. We accomplished that. Left Cheek and I pulled up at the same time. I hadn’t met him before, but I could tell immediately that he is a HIM. We talked for a few minutes, then I ECP-ed some pullups to get rid of energy before the rest of the PAX showed up. [Read More]

Dora the Ninja

Last minute change in Q due to schedule adjustments, so I had to think up a workout pretty quickly for this post. I’ve been wanting to take advantage of the Elevate obstacle course at Ragnarok and this was the perfect time to do so…but how to make it really hard without crushing the PAX’s legs right before the Odyssey CSAUP?? Here’s how we did it: Ragnarok 22 Oct 2020 2000 - Welcome, Disclaimer, Pledge [Read More]

Great job naming the "bridge," Tang...we've only called it that for always

I like this AO site…there’s a reason it hosts 3 of CARPEX’s workouts every week. I posted a bit early to scout the site for my ideas, said farewell to the EC bubbas and headed into the Gloom of Apex Community Park. I had originally planned on the Dora encompassing the loop from the pavilion all the way around the utility access trail and back through the parking lots (approx. . [Read More]
