Hotspot & Sooey were none-the-wiser

It has been a loooong time since I have Q’ed A-Team, so I thought I’d dig through the Backblasts to see what we did. As I was reading I thought this was a pretty good workout. Good enough to be repeated. And unless someone had a really good memory, maybe I can get away with it seeming “original.” The only two people who were there the first time were Hotspot and Sooey, and luckily they didn’t even notice. Post Odyssey Krypto

If it’s after a weekend event that is likely to have worn the PAX out, it means YHC has signed up for the Kryptonite Q. Did the post-BBR Q last year & had signed up for the post-Carying Place Q this year as well. So nothing different this year with the Odyssey just behind us. A nice easy Krypto to bring the legs back is just up YHC’s alley. But then last night I got to worrying that with most of the guys avoiding Flip’s Krypto Q last week for relaxation with Franklin there could be a pent up demand for miles and miles. [Read More]

Franklinaversary - 5th edition

On the last Monday in September in 2014, YHC was privileged to be an FNG at an A-Team workout. Today, YHC took the opportunity of his anniversary to repeat his inaugural F3 workout, this time as the Q, just as I did on the last Monday in September 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018. Following the first time I participated in this workout (under the leadership of Denali), I couldn’t raise my arms above my head for 3 days and couldn’t walk properly for 6 days. [Read More]

Barrel of Pickles

It feels like it’s been quite a while since my VQ, but I’m glad Q #2 was finally here! Last week I made sure to do recon during Hamm’s VQ and was please to see there were 4 pickles, making 5 different running lanes. I now had a plan… 1 FNG, so struggled through the disclaimer and part of the mission and whatnot followed by the declaration of allegiance to Old Glory. [Read More]

BRR Training Barkley Style

The hills at Danger Zone are intense! Having done a few BRR training runs there last year, I knew it was time to get back. When I saw the open Q spot, it was a sign that I must share the love. YHC pre-blasted the plans Thursday on the Slacks, so everyone could see the big idea. I know that DZ is not a high tempo workout, but would resemble that on this day. [Read More]

Biner Hops

OK, this is getting strange. I don’t Q that often, but the last 4 out of 5, there has been some sort of Carpex 2nd F late nite event the night before my Q (just to be clear, late is def past 10:30 for me). Last night was no exception. After work I get couple texts from some of the Carpex boys, “You want to go see a movie”? 7 p,m. [Read More]

Pressure cooker

Always feel the pressure Q’ing at Krypto, probs because YHC ends up leading from the 6 at this AO. Regardless… LET’S GO! Grab your water bottles

The news went out the day before that the Green Mile was going to be run intensive but PUT6 friendly. Ten other men accepted the challenge and both their intensity and friendliness was on full display. Six for a 3 mile EC run (YHC, Michelob, Denali, Sub, Largemouth, Chanticleer) Running shoes remained on, some shirts were changed, and water bottles were grabbed. Parking lot Mosey tour then circle up. **Warm-Up [Read More]

Acceleration of the King

Who are all these guys? YHC clearly needs to go to Slippery When Wet more often. There are at least 4 PAX that I’ve never had the pleasure to meet previously. However, with all the newer PAX, as the clock reached 0545 there were no site Qs or shovel flags in existence. Therefore, a form of the disclaimer is exclaimed, and YHC stated the mission of F3 (Hermes was given a shot at the mission, but failed. [Read More]

Confusing Relay Races

POSTED ON BEHALF OF UTI BY YHC EC: Sub, Peeping Tom, UTI, GTL, Squatter Peeping Tom made a call out last week for someone to sub in since he is still technically on the mend. YHC is working on increasing his bootcamp Qs. 2 years in and I can’t tell you how many I have under my belt but it’s definitely not many. Turning over a new leaf in my 3rd year of F3 and making sure to jump on these leadership opportunities.
