Travelin' Wilburys

Alright, listen up. Imabout tired of this early August weather IN OCTOBER. Be Fall already! Yes, I feel better now. Anyway, a great crowd of men assembled at the Mellinial Memorial Skate Park in the unseasonably warm and humid morning to get better. My guess is they did. Extra Credit: First person to tie a recent event to the title of this post wins a free cup of cheap coffee. [Read More]

BH Benchmark Day!

8/17/17 YHC decided that since no pounds have been shed in about 4 months, there has to be another way to measure my F3 fitness quotient…. WARM-UP On this fine August morning the 19 PAX headed west on Hunter St to the Bladestone Ct parking lot for a little stretching and warm-up. A few SSH, merkins, calf stretches and good mornings was all we needed (no arm circles today boys…). [Read More]

Orbiting Planet Tortoise

Twelve other PAX gathered at Tortoises on a crisp moonlit morning to see what YHC had in store for them. Good mumble chatter as the PAX gathered and Crimson performed some sort of contortionist stretches to warm up, complete with moans and groans. With everyone ready and no FNGs, we set off for a warmup loop around the front parking lot and back to the side lot for warmups: SSH x 20 IC IW x 10 IC GM x 10 IC Sir Fazio x 10 IC Mountain Climbers x 10 IC For the featured part of the workout, we’re recognizing the 60th anniversary of the Sputnik launch (October 4, 1957). Happy Birthday to Me!

What a fantastic, cool, lovey morning. And dark. Good heavens Marla Dorrel Park is dark at 5:45 in the morning. As it is so dark, 5:45 finds Chanticleer rolling in and undressing as we roll out of the park and up into the parking lot in front of Lowes Foods. Also known as “The New Order Cross Fit’s Front Yard”. Punks! I had a birthday Sunday and I am now 51. [Read More]

1-2-3 Float like a Butterfly Sting like a Bee

Twas Friday evening when I got the Tweet from Hello Kitty inquiring about the next mornings Phoenix Q. To which I replied “looks like the site Q” Without any hesitation he steps up to lend a hand or two. That’s what it’s all about guys. Seeing a need and putting yourself out there. Mississippi had also texted me that he would be back in town after being absent for a month so that was awesome news! [Read More]

Brought to you by the letter B

YHC was dismayed last Friday to learn that the one day I was taking off last week was the day F3Carpex went burpee crazy, and I missed all the fun. Fortunately I had the next Dante’s Peak Q and an opportunity to help make #burpeefriday a thing. Warm-up Mosey to the circle for side stradle hopes, burpees (the best warm-up exercise), imperial walkers, merkins and mountain climbers. Thang 1 Mosey over to the basketball courts, count off by fours, each group takes a corner. [Read More]

Merkins, Murph, Burpees.

Is there really more I need to say? I guess maybe that there were some LBCs and Freddie Mercuries sprinkled in, or that Large Mouth runs like an antelope out of control, or that my co-site Q Shank made the most amazing shovel flag ever (complete with hand-created camouflage), or that same said co-site Q provided the 20 PAX brave enough to post at FMJ with Gatorade and camo F3 koozies, or that Khakis did his best Grease Monkey impression by lacing up at 0530 on the nose.
