"Back in my Day..."

Yes, yes, yes we’ve heard it all before, “up hill… in the snow… both ways…” Whatever! That never happened but I’m going to smile and nod because you’ve earned the right to tell your story the way you want it told. Good for you. This on the other hand did happen and 12 PAX wrote the script, directed, produced, starred and film edited (well that was all Parker) their own version of “Back in my Days of F3! [Read More]

Escalators

7 HIM stayed within the Carpex confines and turned up for YHC’s VQ. In anticipation a plan was devised to keep the Pax moving at a fast pace and YHC was determined to stick to it hopefully without any major gaffs. 5:30 and were off….. Warmup Mosey over to the volleyball parking lot SSH x 35, GM x 10, IW x 15, CP x 10, OC x 15 The Thang #1 [Read More]

No snow, no truck

27 men didn’t care what the weather man said. Snow? Blinding, blizzard like Cary-closing snow? No HIM cares about that. No such weather can slow an F3 man down. Now, having your Optimus Prime truck stolen out of your driveway, that can keep you from a workout. I’ve seen plenty of PAX dressed like ninjas lately, which is about what it would take to steal said Optimus Prime truck out of your driveway. Ab-stract

Ab-stract: existing in thought or as an idea but not having a physical or concrete existence. Fear and Trepidation- Gotta admit it fellas, SNS is like the Holy Grail (okay, wrong AO, that’s Flying Circus) of Carpex workouts (sorry DZ) to me. So much going on here on Wednesday mornings, that over the last 2.5 years YHC has been constantly growing more and more nervous about the possibility of ever Q’ing this site. Sure felt like Krypton...

Disclaimer: YHC turns 45 tomorrow. This all looked good on paper. Y’all are in for an interesting week. Awoke early, excited about putting into play the little plan I worked up over a celebratory fondue dinner Sunday night (during dinner my 2.0s were even demonstrating some of the workout to my M. She was not impressed.) On the drive to the AO, I thought (maybe I better go see that stealthy little bridge, make sure we can get across it). Shuttyversary Day 3: Gettin' After It

YHC and a crew of 7 hit up a little EC Phoenix run to kick the morning off. A 1 mile down / 1 mile back run. Upon return to Phoenix there was a new face amongst the crowd. Apparently 1 HIM-in-training saw YHC’s call to action on Facebook to join some men in the outdoors and the cold for a 0630 workout! Welcome FNG Butterscotch! Disclaimer was applied and we lapped the parking lot and ran out to the intersection for our #ShutInStandard Warmup. [Read More]

Stairway to 11's ReMastered Edition

I swear I signed up to Q on a warmer day!? Warm up: Fellowship mosey behind the Vesper Crew. I was secretly hoping to follow them to the park entrance/exit to see if I got any “excited” mumble-chatter. The best I got was a few pax followed them when they headed towards the kiosk thinking they were the bootcamp. Finish the mosey at the intersection 20x - SSH IC 10x - GM IC 10x - Windmills IC 10x - IW IC 10x - KDK IC The Thang: [Read More]

Tour de Salem

Perhaps in anticipation of getting back to work…nah…getting out in the 13 degree gloom…maybe…Qing FMJ for the first time, YHC got out early and ran round and round Salem Pond to warm up, arriving right on time as the rest of the PAX arrived and…sat in their cars. Finally coaxing the little darlings from their comfy confines, it was time to go. Or close enough; it’s cold! Warm-Up Couple trips around the little parking lot, then stop at the trail head for: [Read More]

2017 in Review

Pre-BB We absolutely blew up GroupMe on its last official day in action when YHC asked the PAX to share what, in each HIM’s opinion, was the biggest event of 2017. Hilarity ensued. PAX eschewed work and risked loss of employment to contribute. It was all worth it, guys…IT WAS ALL WORTH IT! BB ‘Twas the last workout of the year and all through Bond Park, 20 warriors went a-running through the cold and the dark. [Read More]

Down Range at Dante’s

@mabellcarpex has encouraged all of us to get out of our comfort AO. So being the compliant guy that I am….after much consternation I took Beaker’s Q and hit the trail to the far reaches of Western Wake County….which is Dante’s Peak. Temperature in the high teens. No wind. Clear Q was hungover or perhaps even a little drunk from last evening. 6 dudes. One shovel flag. Warm Up Mosey down to the cul-de-sac SSH, Burt Jacks, Mountain climbers, GM’s, Fazio Arm Circles, Cotton Pickers. [Read More]
