Circle of Death...

I guess it was more like an oval. I got there early to check out the park and Hermes and Billy were already waiting. 10 Pax showed up and Joe Smith placed the flag. We started off on our first lap as Fluoride rolled in. Warm Up Jog lap 1 and on lap 2 we did butt kicks, high knees, and karaoke. Circle up for 10 x GM and 15 x IW. [Read More]

Homecoming

Shakin’ Not Stirred was the first place YHC posted with F3, and it’s always felt like home to me, so I was very excited to Q here for the first time. Warm-Up Mosey over to the community center parking lot and circle up for side straddle hops, merkins, plank jacks, imperial walkers and burpees (at this point YHC really was just trying to get warm). The Thang Mosey over to the shelter at the boat house to find that there were more PAX and less room than YHC expected. [Read More]

Smokey and the Bandit

Gloom. Respect. Drizzle. This am was another morning of all things great about F3. An awesome group of dudes…grateful for Smokey’s Q (which as always was organized/planned…and was comfortable with me chattering while he led his portion), the CD/Intimidator/Brody troika…the Dad, the Father in law and the newlywed, Birthday site Q - Open Out, GTL (the quiet, in shape tough dude), Free Bird (wears Cotten like Hermes), Sooner (who refered to me as sir, then quickly adjusted to Brah) and Michelob (almost slept in, but decided to run in instead…stud). RESPECT Ladders

Pulling into the Senior Center (an apt place to start for RESPECT Week, as so many pointed out - hardy har har), I could tell there was 24K magic in the air. Someone brought a Wal-Mark special fishing rod, an obvious nod to YHC’s fishing prowess. Some PAX were already sweating from Insomnia; some were sweating the impending beatdown they were about to receive; some took the easy way out and Vespered their way out of a beatdown; some rucked because, you know, running sucks and walking’s not enough. Leave the Park! 11/3/17 SWW

YHC was honored to lead these Stallions in a little belated b-day workout. Maiden Q for me for this AO. Many many great options.. The Warmup: In honor of the best Tuesday AO in all of Carpex, the first activity is to… Leave the park Jog to the Bocci restaurant shopping center, down around back at the bottom of the stairs, Mime in a Short Box while we wait for the 6. put that mumble chatter aside and commit to something

November 1st, 2017 One goal, and only one goal- stop the mumble chatter. Is that really a good goal, or is that a selfish request? Either way, I am the Q and took on the challenge. Luckily we had a FNG (welcome Tubeless and thanks Wrangler for bringing him out) which would inspire Burt to get warmed up. What really got Burt going was seeing the duct tape holding my shoes together. Michelob and Hotspot 3 year Postaversary

This year a lot was different from that Monday morning three years ago, when Hotspot and Michelob first posted to F3 and A-team. YHC doesn’t remember the temp, but you can be sure it wasn’t 36 degrees cold! Back then there was only one Monday AO in what was to be known as Carpex. This fine morning in 2017, the only two members of that PAX from three years ago were your site Q’s and your Q’s for the day. [Read More]

3 Hills

The inspiration for the workout today at Phoenix came from reflecting on the hill of Calvary on which Christ persevered and shed His blood for us on the cross. We took on three hills at Phoenix, and I asked the PAX to think of Him and His sacrifice as they persevered this morning. It was a great time. Warmup: One FNG in attendance invited by Malpractice, so gave the disclaimer and then we were off for a little jog through Bond Park to another parking lot. [Read More]

Funky Cold Medina

You might ask yourself what the title of this post has to do with the actual post itself. Answer: nothing really. It just happened to be the song YHC rolled up to the AO this morning. And I couldn’t think of anythign better. By 05:45 - and I mean 05:44:59 - 9 other fellers rolled up to see what was about to go down. Warm-Up Jog around the parking lot then over to the greenway trailhead parking lot for: [Read More]

How quickly..

How quickly things change. Last week, Gloom temperatures were in the 70’s and humid. This morning the PAX broke out the long sleeves and sweatshirts (some of them, anyway) for temps starting with a “4.” And that’s Freedom degrees, not in some commie temperature. The Tortoises crew had made the journey north in order to partake of the 2nd/3rdF after the workout (more on this later), so go time was even more of a goat rodeo than normal at SnS. [Read More]
