In a Spring Daze

What is the meaning of all of this traffic coming into Bond Park at 0615? I would love to say the 50 cars YHC observed roll in in about about a 10 minute span where pax upon pax coming to receive the highly anticipated beat-down that was near to launch hosted by yours truly. But alas they were not. While the pax turnout of 25 was nothing to sneeze at, this was not going to be a typical quiet morning with the 310 acres of Bond Park to ourselves. [Read More]

One for the Record Books

YHC apparently forgot why Rush Hour got its name! Waze said 5:43 arrival and it was dead on. Popped out the car and noticed a LOT of people waiting around for a Q. 19 to be exact. It was said that’s a record, not sure the accuracy of that but YHC will take it! Why so many guys!? 1. The weather, bro! It was gorgeous out there! 2. The beers that would soon follow. [Read More]

Top 40, Baby!

Cool & crisp at FOD this fine morning! Ten HIMs gathered – No FNGs, only familiar faces. F3 intro given & we started with the pledge & moved out to a close-by parking lot. Shut-In let me know that I’m the 39th Q he has graced his presence with this year to date – I’m so honored that I finally make the top-40! With that, we rolled into: The Warm Up [Read More]

42, A Non-theme Theme

Who knew!?! A vanilla high tempo run work with absolutely no theme found a theme by the end of the beatdown! The sevens doubled turned out to be 42 of each exercise and Hanson logged almost 4.2 miles of running in the workout. Now, in full disclaimer, most of probably ran closer to 3.5 - 4.0 miles but 4.2 helped create a theme for this non-themed workout Disclaimer then run a quarter mile loop that will establish the route for the later timed work. Crosswalk to Crosswalk

23 in total for YHC’s first crack at Lion’s Den. With some Google Satellite the night before a plan was made. There were some EC runners, some twins in the same shirts, some yoga pants, and a flag. It’s go time! 0530 - Disclaimer and Pledge Warmup lap threw off Franklin so much he quit and waited for the pax to circle the loop and come back. Then YHC went vanilla #shutinsignaturewarmup: GMs, HBs, Merkins, SSHs [Read More]

Avoiding Potholes

It rained practically all night, and at 0500 the Steve indicated that Tank Top Tuesday was a real possibility. To that end, an even dozen of Carpex’ finest gathered at the flag at Salem Pond Park. Allegiance is pledged and off we go. Warm Up Mosey around the parking lot and then down the main drag to a street light that was actually on. We’ll forever refer to that as Mistake #1. [Read More]

Reflection Rock

Good morning. YHC was on the Q sheet, then Pickles asked for it for his anniversary, then Pickles had a tooth fall out or something, so I’m back baby. Fresh off a fulfilling, yet taxing, 30-minute block for #F3Pray24 and I was ready to lead the pax for a solid beatdown.Seeing 1 FNG, and taking time to mention Pray 24, a quick bow of the heads before we left the lot; pax were witnessed to a prayer + mission statement + disclaimer combo.
