Getting Swole on Thorsday!

I was pretty excited for this workout. It was the first true Spring evening workout (in my opinion) - the weather was perfect. I decided to grab some weapons for the thang and utilize the Asgardian Warrior Training Grounds. My goal for this workout was to push everyone for 45 straight minutes. Workout together but against yourself. No FNGs. We Pledged to the good ‘ole US of A and moseyed to the Asgardian Warrior Training Grounds (Elevate Course at the park) for a quick warm-up. Don't call Bulgarian Splits Squats with Steaks in the house....

You’ll have to keep reading to find out why the title is what it is! Good news for you is that this will be a quick read! A thin crowd was coming together for F3 as the FIA ladies collected – they outnumbered us by 3 or 4X! I guess the spring break excuse only applies to the men of F3…. ’nouf said. 6 men started the session with our mission & the pledge. [Read More]

A-Team GBBs!

Super excited to Q at A-Team this morning – it’s one of my favorite sites and is always loaded with High Impact Men. Speaking of HIM, @petsounds was there! So great to see him back in the gloom! Bootcamp-wise, I felt like trying something new – here’s what went down…. 15 total pax, 9 bootcampers, the remainers bruising/walking + 4 legged Manny! Pledge of course! Then mosey straight into the park to the top of the powerline hill for warm-up: good morning, windmill, hill-billy, mtn climbers, merkins, etc. [Read More]

It was only 7 minutes...

I’ve been enjoying the “limited” run bootcamps – Tortoises, Tin-2-Iron, Hells Bells – as I need to limit my miles while still getting out with you men. Was thinking of something new to try & decided to give it a go with the men of Tortoises this very gloomy but warm morning. Here’s how it went down ….. The gathering: My GBB & wheelman today, Flacco & I came into the lot hot as our little neighborhood carpool hit a snag kind of like a container ship in a canal. [Read More]

BREATHE!

Over on the Dark Side of Cary, 14 HIM were volun-told by YHC what to do at Kryptonite. We gathered at the flag and excitedly waited for the EC runners to arrive. Then we listened to Hermes talk about his 5k PR and how he was going to take it slow on the main event. Being the ever-benevolent Q, I agreed to keep it to a reasonable pace (or I just leveraged the moment to subtly admit how slow I am…) We celebrated leadership in our community by delegating a pearls-on-a-string workout to the PAX. Gloom over Claymore

After being teased a bit with amazing spring weather, today was a day to test the PAX. Frankly we all failed as Carpex sites were poorly attended this cool rainy morning. Comfort won today hopefully lessons were learned… we’ll see. Here’s what went down for the stalwarts at Claymore today who decided to accelerate: Welcome, Mission of F3, & Pledge of Allegiance, begin warm-up with mosey to tennis courts. Classic warm-up, good mornings, windmills, fazios/overheads/seals (gonna work shoulders today), merkins, mountain climbers… lap around the courts to thang 1: [Read More]

Where's Headroom???

Well, Headroom was on the Q sheet for this morning’s workout. 0530 came and went and there was no Headroom and since fellow site Q Chicken Little was at A Team with the rest of the boy band, YHC had to fill in. Headroom, you owe us one buddy! Warmup: Ok, so YHC is leading this thing with no plan whatsoever and someone suggests we mosey around the parking lot to see if Headroom does indeed show so that sounded like a great idea. Double Nickles Pickles

Sixteen HIMs showed up at Danger Zone to help YHC celebrate his 55th trip around the sun. A glorious morning, with the temp at 47° according to the Disco Duck-mobile. EC runners come rolling in and after some light mumble chatter it’s time to get started. Warm Up Windmills x 11 IC SSH x 11 IC Sir Fazio/Fazio Sir x 11 each IC Hillbillies x 11 IC Standard Merkins x 11 OMD (shout out to Saban for the reminder of “starting position, move” Thang 1: P-I-C-K-L-E-S At each end of the pickle, do the following, repeating the previous exercises each time: [Read More]

Leg Day @ Wolverine!

Was pleasantly surprised when I checked the weather this morning – phone said it wasn’t raining! Yeah! However, when getting outside it was misting just enough to continue our amazing streak of wetness…. anyway we do say we love the gloom… Here’s what went down at Wolverine this moist morning: Gather at the flag – no FNGs but I got to meet Back Porch – he has posted 3 days in a row after finding F3 last week – way to go!
