Hablo un poco de español

Buenos Dias, Hermanos. When it was announced that Liverpool and Water Wings would share their Chimbote, Peru (or is it Chipotle…) story with the Pax at a bread braking and the Q sheet was WIDE FREAKING OPEN for that day, YHC had to jump on it. Knowing we’d have a squad on hand, I was extra excited (hard to believe I know) for this one. With a resounding Yooooooooooooo at 0544, we got ready to roll out. [Read More]

Bartmanniversary IV

23 PAX turned out this fine morning to help YHC celebrate four years of gloom. That’s right, this week marks 48 months of getting after it, and it’s as if A-Team hasn’t changed a bit. PAX in the low 20’s, rain more often than it should, and a bunch of go-getters ready to hit it. A 2-mile EC led by Disco was the perfect apertif. Mosey to the front parking lot and circle up. I don't need to 'splain myself

I see what you’re trying to do, Cally, and I don’t need to explain the burpee hill race. My crew DOMINATED IT. It sucked, yes. But we did it because: The Q said to do it and you do what the Q says. Good leadership I guess. It sucked. Usually things that suck are hard. We wanted to better ourselves. Back in Black is better than BO. (Don’t ask Term Paper or Jiggly Puff though) The Burpee Hill Race: [Read More]

Catch the Maynard if you can

The idea was to run a loop and on said loop catch the Maynard crew as they were hitting the Chatam and Maynard intersection, specifically catch the VQ Maynard running Liverpool. Nine set out, two a little quicker than the rest (respect to Large and Hi-Liter). The route was all the way down High House, right on Chatam, right on Maynard and a left on High House to get home. The Regency Islands

Drew the Back in Black Q for the second time in its short history, and I didn’t quite get to do what I had planned the first time… so after a deeper recon dive, let’s hit it. 8 HIM gathered after the flag, and after a site-Q recommended disclaimer, off we go for a quick lap around the lot enter the Symphony Lake greenway, but then turn left back toward the road cross the street using the crosswalk and circle up in the lot for GM/IW/CP/SM Thang 1 - PARTNER UP! Johnny Cash and American Dollies... wait, what?

Being that it is YHC’s birthday, and that birthday is shared with the Man in Black, himself; the late, great Johnny Cash, this was supposed to be a Q to honor the man and his music. Well, it started out that way, but slid off the rails just a bit. One should expect that anytime Frisco is present for a workout, but YHC can’t really pin this one on him. [Read More]

Found

3 for EC: Disco Duck, Term Paper, and YHC Honeycomb advised his FNG would be several minutes late, so we proceeded with the Pledge of Allegiance and then off to the first parking lot to warm up. Ruck Takeover

Friday, February 1, 2019 - Cary, NC. Those attending what was purported to be a high-tempo bootcamp workout at Gran Torino were shocked and amazed to arrive and discover the site had been taken over by shady characters wearing “military-style” backpacks. Assault backpacks, even. With carrying handles and other menacing features. They did their best to shrug it off and proceed with their running around, while the ruckers got after it. [Read More]

FNGs Abound

The PAX recruiting game showed up strong on this A.M. as we had 3 FNGs make their way into the gloom. The Disclaimer was necessary. As I type this I am just now realizing I forgot to lead us in the Pledge of Allegiance. This is a priority and so I recognize now the men and women who go and have gone into harms way to protect the liberties that we as a United States of America hold as unalienable. [Read More]
