Same Same, But Different

A lovely morning for a workout! We have been truly blessed the last three days with some fabulous weather!!! Roughly 60 degrees this morning, with pretty high humidity. The preblast indicated this would not be a Blue Ridge Relay training workout and while there WOULD be running, it would not be a run-centric workout. Turns out, we still managed a little over three miles…… Bayonne, Biner, PBX, and I met for some EC hill repeats at 5:45 and ran a little over 30 minutes on the High House hill, joined about 3/4 into the run by Snots and Chipper. So when Build-A-Bear messaged me on Monday to “ask” me to incorporate the pain sticks into my Q on Wednesday, of course I said yes. AO: A-Team August 13, 2018 Stepping in late last night to sub for an injured Pet Sounds, YHC posted what innocently turned out to be a somewhat misinformed plan for a Route 66 around the lake. Shout out to Sosa for warning of construction and related obstructions. Upon arrival and inspection of this particular AO (YHC’s first posting there), it was decided by a committee of one to modify. And, it being Monday the 13th, why not play in the parking lot with that number. Night Train 7/13

YHC heard about the Crazy Train, and thought it’d be fun to try it with rucks, during the evening.. hence, the Night Train. We put the word out via Slack, Twitters, Raleigh Area Ruckers Facebook, and various other COT-based means of communication. Seven ruckers and three runners answered the call. Goal Board the #76 Piedmont at 6:08pm in Cary, ride to Raleigh, and get rucking by 6:30. YHC estimated a 17min/mi overall pace, and after some advanced mathematics, determined that meant about a 4-hour trip. [Read More]
