One Way on Waldo Street

It was a pretty even split between sleeves and no sleeves on TTT - then one more PAX (with sleeves) rolled in at 0545. Allegiance was pledged, then burpees were done x 10. Off we went… Warm Up Mosey to the infamous circle at the intersection. Complete SSHs, Hill Billies, Moroccan Night Clubs, Seal Claps, Plank Jacks and SIX control freak Merkins. The Thang Still in the Warm up circle, complete a round of Jack Webbs up to 10:40. [Read More]

We cashed-in with 5 burpees OYO and headed out to the field for our first round: 7’s including LBC’s and Carolina Docs with 20 lunge steps to and fro. [Read More]

B-day Q-Week Begins!

As I reflect on the year that has been and prepare to celebrate the completion of my 58th trip around the sun, I busted out the music from the decade of my birth and started the beat downs. Warm-ups The mission, disclaimer, and pledge were recited. There were no FNGs. We ran from the flag to the top right parking lot listening to Aretha sing “Respect” where we circled up. Warm-ups consisted of Side Straddle Hop, Good Mornings, Imperial Walkers, Sir Fazzio Arm Circles, Merkins, and Plank Calf Stretch. Gratitude

Some things are just meant to be. The Hell’s Bells Q slot just happened to be available - YHC jumped on the chance for a birthday Q. Arrive early to get in some ECP and running before the main event; mosey to the parking lot at about 0527 to see 8 HIMs gathering. At 0530, we pledge allegiance and off we go. Warm Up Mosey around the big pickle with high knees, butt kickers, and karaoke both ways. [Read More]

Perfect Timing

YHC rolled into Sovereign Grace Church to notice 2019 HOTY candidate Theisman doing ECP all by his lonesome. Although PAX were gathering in the parking lot, this called for a few ECP to make sure the ol’ QB was not lonely. At 0529 we joined the other 20 in the normal gathering spot for Tortoises. Disclaimer was disclaimed, and off we did not go. Warm Up Circle up, 10 burpees OYO to calm the chatter. [Read More]

Avoiding Potholes

It rained practically all night, and at 0500 the Steve indicated that Tank Top Tuesday was a real possibility. To that end, an even dozen of Carpex’ finest gathered at the flag at Salem Pond Park. Allegiance is pledged and off we go. Warm Up Mosey around the parking lot and then down the main drag to a street light that was actually on. We’ll forever refer to that as Mistake #1. [Read More]

More like HIMstamine, am I right?

Holy hell, dat yellow stuff is everywhere. Regardless, we pushed through. A group of HIM out for an EC run, and YHC set off to chase down Theismann for ECP. Check out our convo on getting better on today’s PUT6. We wrapped up recording just in time to hear the pax getting restless, it must be spot on 0545. A backwards run for the Q gave me a chance to drop the moving disclaimer on the pax before we’re up to the lot for warmups. [Read More]

Circles and Compasses

28 HIM show-up in the gloom expecting an epic Yogi beatdown. Well, some plans are meant to change and YHC has stepped up to take the Q. Weclome FNGs Quidditch and Double Dutch. After a mumbling, bumbling disclaimer and pledge at the flag, we head left and to the large circle for: Warm Up Good mornings Cotton Pickers Steve Earls Arm twirly thingies including behind the back.
