1stF #3 of 6 BD & F3’versary Q-week: Train Delay! In the nick of time for some F3 Deck of Pain after some Thunderstruck.

As I was making my way to Rush Hour from work, in hopes of minimal traffic, everything looked good until I get to DTC. As I was pulling up to Chatham, I see the railroad bars blinking and start its descent. I have 20 mins to get to the AO, change out of my work clothes and into workout clothes. All I can think of was HOLY HELL, I am going to be late because I cannot see the end of the train cars. Viva la revolucion!

14 was the magic number in Carpex on Friday, and that’s how many PAX turned out at Danger Zone to end the work week. We started with a couple of laps around the pickle (what’s with all the running?) - then circled up for a quick warm-up including SSH, merkins, mountain climbers, imperial walkers and, since you can’t have a great day without them, good mornings. Another 3/4 lap around the pickle to the basketball court, and circle up. [Read More]

At this rate, we'll never get to the top

So except for the 3 new AOs, Rush Hour was my last site to Q to complete the 2018 Challenge. I had only been to RH one other time, the week before, but it was enough to scout out some locations and get the skinny on how things go down here. I had been told to expect a small group, so I was pleasantly surprised to see 11 other HIMS ready for the beat down. [Read More]

You Better Hurry Up

You Better Hurry Up….. Many years ago, my grandpa used to say, “You better hurry up”. I never fully understood that phrase until I got older. Now that I’m a respect, I fully understand what Paw Paw was saying. When I look at my kids, my wife, my career, I realize that time is very precious, now more than ever. And if I needed any additional reminders, when speaking with @Frisco on the way back from JoCo, I told him about my bucket list. Thankful (especially for FNGs on Thanksgiving)

YHC is thankful for many things; my loving family, a full table this Thanksgiving, and a purpose-driven career. But, above all things, I’m thankful for the blessings of FNGs on Thanksgiving Day. More to come, but first: The annual Thanksgiving Convergence means the men of Carpex descend upon the finest AO in all the land, Bradford’s Ordinary, and this year the weather right-perfect for a proper beatdown. EC run waves launched at 0600 and 0630 (psst, Frisco showed up at 0538 texting YHC, “um when are we starting? [Read More]

Despite the forecast, a beautiful day and a disc golf hole?

It was supposed to be another rainy afternoon in paradise but despite all indications was dry as the Pax circled up. YHC was very excited to be back at the premier afternoon workout in Carpex after nearly a year away from this particular AO. 24 plus hours into nasty weather and lots of rain, I was quite concerned as to whether or not I would be posting alone. However, in typical F3 fashion 8 brave souls and YHC showed up and at 1745 we were off. Bear Crawls, Burpees and Boppits

Week two at Claymore, the best lit limited running AO in all of Carpex, and the parking lot is filling up fast. Can YHC handle a big crowd? Let’s find out. Warm-Up Mosey up the parking lot and around the island then circle up. Count off, 17 PAX. YHC is fair and kind, only 10 burpees OYO. Water Wings Week Begins

YHC couldn’t have asked for a more glorious morning to Water Wings Week than what God blessed us with this morning. Water falling from the sky pretty much the whole morning to keep the sweat at bay. We moseyed to the usual warm-up parking lot for some SSH, Merkins, Calf stretches and Good Mornings. Next, Mosey to the far parking lot to find a rock. We setup in the parking circle for the thang.
