My name is Nature Boy - I only Q every 14 months so plan on me again for end of May 2019. Consequently I don't know how to post backblasts and I think other people should do it for me.

F3 Nature Boy Qing 3 April 2018 Tuesday This Fine Tuesday morning started hellos all around. Kilmer showed for NB Q 2.5. Nature Boy 1 as we all remember found us running around the baseball Fields at Thomas Brooks park and my Fine friend Kilmer headed home early not being in the running mood. I guess 😎😜. With Highlighter running to his car to grab a weight vest so Beanner not be the solo rucker we pledged to two flags. [Read More]

Back Home Again

Thanks to the wizardry of @hotspot and his weekly Q summaries, I noticed that my beloved FOD had no Q for the week. Having just come off the TR run, it was time to get back on the Q wagon, and here was the perfect opportunity. Let’s see what Ma Bell dialed up on 3/27/18 First, @pbx and @skyblue and YHC ran in per our usual route, arriving in time for the customary fist bumps and pre-workout mumble chatter. [Read More]

APFT

While listening to the radio recently, I heard a story about the remedial fitness training for new Army recruits. Apparently, modern American culture doesn’t lend itself to producing citizens that meet the Army’s standards - a lot to unpack there. As is the case with most things, I blame millenials. Think about it seriously, though. Pre-WWII, your average Army recruit probably worked A) on a farm or B) in manual labor and I’m pretty sure spent less than 30 minutes a week on screen time in its various iterations. Limited Running

The Hi-Literversary Week and the Disco Duck Birthday Week overlapped, giving two brothers an opportunity to co-Q Phoenix, the greatest Saturday AO in all of Carpex. Because some of the PAX were running in the Break the Silence 5K later in the morning, we decided today’s workout would be limited running. Disco takes the first half, Hi-Liter takes the second. Warm-Up Mosey down to the Parking Lot of Pain and circle up for side straddle hops x 10, imperial walkers x 10, Sir Fazio forward x 10, Sir Fazio backward x 10 and warm up burpees x 7. [Read More]

The Lake is Beautiful this Time of Year (har, har!)

“The lake at Phoenix is beautiful this time of year,” I thought with a sadistic little smirk on my face. Here is how we got there…. YHC didn’t know what to expect at Phoenix this morning with the Mule going on in Raleigh. Hello Kitty planned a 6 mile meander through Cary, as well. But, the parking lot was packed with PAX and one FNG. So, after the initial disclaimer, we were off, running down to the stop sign and then “whoa, curveball” Hi-Liter heads to the right, the traditional Texas Ranger path, but YHC heads left, just keeping everyone guessing.
