Milk Man

Websters: milk·man/ˈmilkmən,ˈmilkˌman/Learn to pronouncenoun a person who delivers and sells milk. Urban Dictionary: milkman A person that handles/pleases the wifey/girlfriend, when the husband or boyfriend is away. That baby doesnt look anything like you. Better ask the wife about the milkman. I’ll give you one guess as to how we ended up with FNG Milk Man on Friday @ DZ. I honestly don’t remember what all we did. At all. I know I wanted to use the sand volleyball courts but there was a group up there already. [Read More]

Parking Deck Extravangaza

It was Wednesday. I logged into Slack after an earth-shattering day at work to see if my distinguished co-Site Q picked me up on the pre-blast or if I would still have the privilege to whip up something witty… when the Pet Sounds note appeared on my feed. We’re gonna have to work for this one, aren’t we. RDG launched early on a solo Cleaver, a couple of SNS GBBs EC’d their various ECs, and 6 other PAX greeting YHC rolling up with some coffees, waters, and a plan. [Read More]

On the nose

GT has few expectations. Those they do have include: 5K minimum No 10-counts Make sure Largemouth at least breaks a sweat Apparently recently a new one was added: Tell jokes They didn’t say they were funny. So I repeated by bacon tree joke from #PointBreak. Luckily there were no repeats from earlier in the week and I got a bit better on my delivery. Warm-up: Run to the gazebo at the roundabout. Alphabetti Spaghetti?!?

There’s a show that ran on BBC in the late 80s and early 90s called Red Dwarf that just about makes up the epitome of what I consider peak humor. It’s nerdy yet childish and gets me giggling all the time. While the show is a sci-fi comedy, it’s still a BBC show so the production values are total crap. You have to look through that. The writing and the characters are what make it work. [Read More]

Mosquito joy at the 'rok

Kids are out of town so of course all us nutters at F3 decide that’s a great time to post extra and maybe hit up sites that are normally off the books, right? Looked forward to this crew, knowing that it usually brings some faces that are less frequently seen in the gloom. So of course the first face I see when I roll up is Press On rocking a TCU Fear the Frog t-shirt. [Read More]

Tired

This is going to be short. Sorry fellas. I’m beat. Kids are out of town still so last night the M and I went to dinner at Hank’s Dive Bar in DTC. It’s not really a dive but the drinks are good and the fried cauliflower is fantastic. Recommended. I had seen Chewie walk by the window earlier in the evening so as we were leaving I gave the place a bit of a scan to see if I would spot him. [Read More]

Stares

YHC was looking forward to some heavy rain this morning, unfortunately it held off. The rain wasn’t there, but Peirogi was, and almost on time. Warm-Up Mosey around to the back of the school and circle up for imperial walkers, daisy pickers, arm circles, copperhead merkins, copperhead squats and burpees. The Thang Mosey over to the building with the stairs and count off 1s and 2s. A few rounds of one group climbing the stairs while the other group alternates hand release merkins and monkey humpers. Cougars are too young for pearls

EC: ran down the street to a geocache I had driven to a few times previously but which was always surrounded by people waiting for the dermatologist to open or let them in or whatever. Thankfully the parking lot was empty at a quarter past 5. Logged my cache and ran back, taking a slight detour to inspect the site. Five PAX gathered, including two guys I had not met before. Starting 11

Who would have imagined how closely today’s Hell’s Bells would mirror Poland’s sorry game against what should have been a lowly Slovakia? But I suppose it was meant to be when the work out proceeded in a manner so similar to the game itself. Here’s how it went down. Pre-game: National anthems were sung and close-ups of millionaires mouthing the words were shown. Most of those on the pitch were born-and-bread representatives of their countries but, much like the Portuguese coach of the Polish team, some are foreign born. [Read More]

Everything that needed to be said was already said

This BB is superfluous so it will be short. Everything that needed to be said about Friday’s #DazedAndConfused Q was said beautifully by @LuckyCharms on slack. So this is merely a placeholder to document the PAX present and to pass out a quick praise. Warm-up: lap and typically warm up stuff Thang 1: animal related moves up the grassy knoll (bear crawls… gorilla hops… duck walks) with stuff at the top [Read More]
