OGs of DZ

Uuuughh Maybe 5 hours of sleep just isn’t enough to fully recover from a holiday party as lit as a Carpex party. It was in the 40’s, cloudy with a chance of rain (and/or merlot), and multiple PAX were feeling ROOOOUUGH. Burt, evidently, wasn’t one of them. He instead was up to his usual antics of yelling loudly. Flacco was not appreciative. Nor was I. YHC saw it was 0545 and took off around the pickle. [Read More]

Viva la revolucion!

14 was the magic number in Carpex on Friday, and that’s how many PAX turned out at Danger Zone to end the work week. We started with a couple of laps around the pickle (what’s with all the running?) - then circled up for a quick warm-up including SSH, merkins, mountain climbers, imperial walkers and, since you can’t have a great day without them, good mornings. Another 3/4 lap around the pickle to the basketball court, and circle up. [Read More]

At this rate, we'll never get to the top

So except for the 3 new AOs, Rush Hour was my last site to Q to complete the 2018 Challenge. I had only been to RH one other time, the week before, but it was enough to scout out some locations and get the skinny on how things go down here. I had been told to expect a small group, so I was pleasantly surprised to see 11 other HIMS ready for the beat down. [Read More]

COT

DZ for the prevention of DVT

YHC has been on the road a fair amount which adds a bit of stress both at home and on the body. Today’s DangerZone hopefully aids with prevention of the latter while I hope that the nice long Thanksgiving away will help with the former. I was recently interested in what one should do when traveling long distances to prevent problems associated with sitting on in a tiny aluminum tube for many many hours. [Read More]

Service Before Self

10 November 2018 – the day before Veterans Day and YHC was ready to lead a bootcamp for the ages to pay honor and tribute to our Nation’s warriors who have worn the uniform to defend freedom at home and abroad. I knew I needed stronger men than myself to lead this epic beatdown, and so I literally called in the Troops. Here’s how it went down, keeping in mind that the pax were well equipped with weight vests and ruck sacks, and 2 men at all times carried a log c/o of our brother Bartman (who was out Rucking his ass off at a tough… what a beast). Water Wings Week Begins

YHC couldn’t have asked for a more glorious morning to Water Wings Week than what God blessed us with this morning. Water falling from the sky pretty much the whole morning to keep the sweat at bay. We moseyed to the usual warm-up parking lot for some SSH, Merkins, Calf stretches and Good Mornings. Next, Mosey to the far parking lot to find a rock. We setup in the parking circle for the thang.
