Voting Day at FWD

QIC Staubach 25 HIMs showed up for a warm Voting Tuesday at FWD. We were expecting 26 but @bagels took a dive on the EC run as it was clear that he was slightly intimidated with what was waiting ahead. We are glad its only a sprain and hope he has a speedy recovery. I was a bit nervous with the size of this group but made sure not to let them see me sweat. [Read More]

Frog Weather

Last night the forecast called for Duck Weather: 50 degrees, 100% chance of rain, and 10+ mph winds. Sadly when YHC arrived Carpex’s newest Wednesday AO, it was Frog Weather: no rain and no winds, just a bunch of puddles. Warm-Up Mosey through the shopping center to a side lot and circle up for imperial walkers, cherry pickers, Sir Fazios, copperhead squats and copperhead merkins. Then Crimson led us in the longest one count Good Morning ever. [Read More]

T.GI.F and The Starliner

As advertised, YHC arrived for EC at 5:43 a.m., which consisted of 3 reps of fist-bumps with the fellow PAX, and a quad stretch. After a flawless disclaimer delivered by YHC, including the oft omitted ’no assets’ verbiage, we took off for two laps around Carpex’s original Pickle™ with some painting of the lines sprinkled throughout. It was during the Pickle™ run that YHC learned that my fellow three PAX all stayed up way too late last night. B.L.I.M.P.S. Showed Up

4 pax gathered in the evening gloom for another Tues night beatdown. So after the disclaimer (which YHC always seems to butcher for some reason) and the Pledge of Allegiance we were off and running to the grass next to the parking deck. Warm up: Good Evening SSH Windmills Steve Earle High Knees Turkish Getups Thang 1 After Indian running back to office buildings where we started, we partnered up for the first thang. [Read More]

Farewell Q

This will be YHC’s 5th BackBlast written in the last 2 weeks. I’m beginning to understand now why some PAX are not a fan of writing them or choose to routinely skip writing them. YHC, Schlitz, and Joe Smith showed up early to get over 3 miles of EC in. It was Schlitz that also pointed out a used DNA Cocoon on the grounds of SWW. Warm Up No FNGs, disclaimer (sort of), pledge. Easy Directions

Warm Up Immediately count off by 3s PAX were then directed to head over to YHCs car where 3 35lb plates were leaning against the curb. Each group grabbed 1 plate. We were about to begin Indian Runs when the only PAX with a further drive to this AO than YHC rolled in HOT! Shout out to UTI from South Wake for making the trek up. 10 Penalty Turkish Getups for the late arrival. [Read More]

Final Q in the POGL

15 PAX gathered in the POGL for YHC’s final Q in Apex. Two still to go next week in Cary before I ship up to Raleigh. This was also YHC’s second time ever Qing a limited run workout. After a painful outing at Rush Hour last night, I knew this was going to be a challenge! No FNGs. Disclaimer. Pledge. Warm Up Walk over to the parking lot immediately adjacent to the flag and circle up for the following exercises: [Read More]

Happy Gilmore or Water Boy which is it. Both movies definitely pleased the crowd.

PAX: Schilitz, Kermit, Whisper, Pikachu, Peeping Tom, Disco Duck, WWW, Vallencourt I had to give up my Q for Dazed and Confused because I could not post before my Q date so I audibled. I gave up my Q to a worthy Brother, Triple Lindy. So I did not have to look far to sign up for an empty Q slot. One of the best AOs in Cary, Rush Hour was wide the hell open. [Read More]

A Long Stiffness

16 PAX braved the second darkest AO in all of Carpex to see if YHC could really cause them all a long stiffness. EC was a plenty, as YHC was tricked into 3+ miles at around an 8 min pace. There were no FNGs, the disclaimer was given, and the pledge was recited. Warm Up Gassed from the long and fast EC, YHC decided to have the PAX circle up immediately for the following exercises: [Read More]
