BH Benchmark Day!

8/17/17 YHC decided that since no pounds have been shed in about 4 months, there has to be another way to measure my F3 fitness quotient…. WARM-UP On this fine August morning the 19 PAX headed west on Hunter St to the Bladestone Ct parking lot for a little stretching and warm-up. A few SSH, merkins, calf stretches and good mornings was all we needed (no arm circles today boys…). [Read More]

Little of this, little of that

9/28/17 Rumors were amidst the PAX this morning that there had been some Q shopping to avoid another Benchmark day with YHC. Dismayed as they were, YHC decided to save for a later time, thanks to the beat down given by Shank and McCants on opening day for Full Metal Jacket., AKA The Murph. WARM-UP Mosey west on Hunter Street to the Baucom Elementary bus parking lot for some SSH, Merkins, calf stretches, and good mornings. [Read More]

Cool Runnings at FOD

Despite several ominous warnings on the GroupMe, 17 PAX arrived at FOD in the cool crisp air for Day1 of a Back-to-Back Beaker Beatdown (BBBB, B Quartic, B4 - I’m just dropping a TM on any variant of 4 Bs). Franklin and Airbag had to be coaxed out of the warm and cozy Wolfpack Red 4Runner with promises (lies?) of a not-too-difficult Q that would be much more difficult for the rest of the PAX if they didn’t join. Merkins, Murph, Burpees.

Is there really more I need to say? I guess maybe that there were some LBCs and Freddie Mercuries sprinkled in, or that Large Mouth runs like an antelope out of control, or that my co-site Q Shank made the most amazing shovel flag ever (complete with hand-created camouflage), or that same said co-site Q provided the 20 PAX brave enough to post at FMJ with Gatorade and camo F3 koozies, or that Khakis did his best Grease Monkey impression by lacing up at 0530 on the nose. When: 9/20/2017 QIC: Pet Sounds The PAX: see below As SNS is my 2nd favorite site in F3Carpex (only behind Kryptonite obviously) I took this Q seriously. Bears v. Crabs

Pre-BB YHC delayed his departure for a short business trip to make Wolverine’s Launch happen…but the BB had to take a back seat for a few days. Worth the wait, I hope. BB Thank you, Pete Russell, for Co-Qing this great, new AO with me…pumped to be working with you. Thanks to the 29 HIM who posted at Wolverine’s launch. And thanks to ALL of CarPex for the mumble chatter that kept the buzz about Wolverine alive. [Read More]

Back to School

BB 20 HIM joined YHC on a trip down memory lane–actually, it was down Hunter Street–to visit one of my favorite spots at BH. The gloom…the pull-up monkey bars…the long distance from the park…we’re talking about Baucom Elementary School’s back playground area. We journeyed there on one of my first posts at BH. Time to go back to (the) school. The Warmup - Pledge of Allegiance at the Shovel Flag - Jog to the parking lot of Lee’s Tailor Shop…backwards run for fun on the way. [Read More]

It's a numbers game......

Numbers here, numbers there. We are inundated by numbers. How fast were you driving, what was your GPA, how much did your house cost, what is your income, how much did you pay in taxes, how many times have you posted, how long have you been doing F3. Numbers are everywhere and some are good and some are not so good. Today was a celebration of numbers for Crimson. The first number of celebration was 19. [Read More]

What Sore Legs?

After a GroupMe fartsack shaming on Tuesday - the day after the 9/11 stair climbs and only a couple of days removed from the BRR - when only a handful of CarPEX PAX posted, the boys showed up in force; from the looks of it, pert’neer 40 of them. We’ll count-a-rama later. After a round of fist bumps and a doo-rag tying lesson, it was time to roll. Let’s go! [Read More]
