Why? Because We Can

For all of us who are in familiar surroundings, around our families and friends, Christmas can be a time of good food, good times, and celebration. Some of us, YHC included, have been eating way too much good food, and hitting the egg nog with frequency previously seen only when Clark Griswold got his Jelly of the Month club bonus. We owe a huge debt of gratitude to those who are unable to spend Christmas with their families, due to being deployed all over the world. [Read More]

Asking Forgiveness, Not Permission

15 PAX gathered in the sub-freezing temps at Hunter Street park, not aware of the history that would be made today. Yes, there was some vague talk of an unprecedented event to occur here, but gotta keep em guessing. Right? Warm Up Keep warm mosey to get the legs moving, Pledge of Allegiance and circle up at the skate park for a standard round of SSHs, Moroccan Night Clubs, Seal Claps, Steve Earles, Plank Jacks and CFMs. [Read More]

12 Days of Schlitz-mas

Are you looking at my Weinke? 20 HIMs were kind enough to show up on this glorious day to see what YHC had in store for them. Full disclosure, I signed up for this Q before this AO went high tempo and really just to get that Q-zie. Parker mentioned last week that his wife was Qing at FIA and doing the 12 days of Christmas as a theme for her workout and that sounded like a great idea so let’s go! [Read More]

We had a couple of visitors from out of town this morning, Monk from F3 The Capital (and before that Gastonia), and Red Baron from wherever Living Legends come from. Warm-Up Disclaimer and Pledge, mosey around the parking lot and grab some curb for three rounds of quick feet and curb irkens, then to the top of the deck and circle up for cherry pickers, arm twirlies, seal claps, hillbillies and a round of Good Mornings expertly led by Crimson. OK, Boomer

Google it, if you have to. I did. Hint: it has nothing to do with Oklahoma. 19 PAX + 1 for EC only showed up at a damp and gloomy FMJ as Carpex Respect Week rolls on. Seems like an appropriate week for one of our Respects to ask, “Hey! Can you just tell me what ‘OK Boomer’ means so I don’t have to look it up?” In the meantime, we did do some exercises: [Read More]

Excuse Us

I knew the site-Qs were beginning to sweat as YHC rolled in with about 45 seconds to spare. I have a morning route and was running a touch behind even though I had already been awake for 50 minutes. Alas, 25 pax had gathered and were eager for a challenge as the clock read “Go time”. Disclaimer, Pledge of Allegiance, Follow Me. Warm-up: Mosey around the soccer and baseball field then back to skateboard park for some exercises. [Read More]

The Sharknado

The Sharknado. It has been a tradition for 2+ years at Bounty Hunters, the finest downtown Apex AO on Thursday mornings. This quarterly fitness test allows each PAX to test themselves with a variety of exercises and lap-running. 15 PAX showed up to withstand the Sharknado. With Rooney on the IR with a foot injury, he took all Sharknado materials to the community center and Imp ran point for the morning. [Read More]
