The Ultimate Workout

A few weeks ago YHC and WWW traveled north to the The Farm to help celebrate Spit Valve’s Q Week. The first half was a typical, well executed and thorough beatdown, but the second half was something new for us. It was a game of Ultimate Frisbee, with penalties doled out whenever the frisbee reached the end zone or touched the ground. It was thrilling and on our drive back we agreed we definitely had to bring it back to Carpex. [Read More]

37 is the new 47

It was a hot June night in the year of our Lord 1981. Judy and Ralph (his friends call him Dice) Jodice welcomed their first born son (of 3) into this world. The heavens shook and the Devil pooped his pants, for life as we knew it would never be the same again. 37 years later and YHC drives a small(ish) SUV, has 2 kids, a wife, an IRA and a 529 account for his children. Broken Wing

It was another fine Friday morning. Today, Hello Kitty joined regulars Michelob, Squatter, and YHC for the 2.5 mile EC run into DP. We were greeted by an additional 13 men before we began the main event. YHC reminded the PAX that his right wing was still not 100%, so we’d be exercising our running shoes. Quite the Travelling Rock

I was psyched to jump back into the Q game for the first time since Gus was born… and today’s A-Team spot was wide open in the middle of last week. Couldn’t let Hotspot see that when he pulled his weekly summary, so I jumped all over it. This was my least-planned Q to-date - which did positive work for my stress-levels over the weekend and helped the time management of the workout. [Read More]

Do, or do not. There is no Try.

Backstory: Several weeks (months?) ago, the M and I were sitting at home on our usual Wednesday night date night when the ad for “The Last Jedi” came on TV. A few clicks of the iPhone and I had tickets for opening night, 12/14. Asked her if she wanted to go, “Not really”. So, 3 tickets for me and the 2.0s. And then a week or two later, the announcement comes out about F3 Carpex Christmas Party. [Read More]

Shop Local

Granted, YHC hasn’t been to Bounty Hunters in a while. Typically it’s “fartsack day” but of my most recent posts there the pax have left the park only to return to COT. This set the scene for this morning’s beatdown. We were going to shop local. 12 studs rolled out of bed, some confessing as late as 0530, for a workout YHC preblasted on the Twittersphere. The claim was high tempo, lots of stops, low mileage. Smokey and the Bandit

Gloom. Respect. Drizzle. This am was another morning of all things great about F3. An awesome group of dudes…grateful for Smokey’s Q (which as always was organized/planned…and was comfortable with me chattering while he led his portion), the CD/Intimidator/Brody troika…the Dad, the Father in law and the newlywed, Birthday site Q - Open Out, GTL (the quiet, in shape tough dude), Free Bird (wears Cotten like Hermes), Sooner (who refered to me as sir, then quickly adjusted to Brah) and Michelob (almost slept in, but decided to run in instead…stud).
