I heard you like burpees.

20 PAX gathered in the unGloom this fine morning. 19 stayed for the disclaimer. 18 stayed for COT. All got better. YHC had been traveling this past week, missing the PAX after a Monday post at A-Team, then a series of DIY adventures. Time to get back to business. Lucky me, I had time to scout and ponder with PBX before the workout today. Time under a log is always good for introspection. [Read More]

The temperature was perfect. The blue sky was bright with sunshine creeping over the treetops. YHC walked slowly toward the typical gathering spot, catching the bizarre yet strangely comforting sounds of MGMT blaring from someone’s car stereo. It was deja vu. -—- Three years ago on a Saturday around 7:58AM, I found myself questioning many of my recent life decisions while trying to vomit as quietly as possible into a pond so that no one else would see or hear me while they did this thing they called “Mary”. Post Most Amazing Workout to Have Ever Happened

Only 9 PAX gathered post Beer Mile. What happened to the 140 PAX from last week?!?! The pollsters told YHC that we would have at least 150-160. The pollsters never get it wrong. I mean YHC didn’t even go to BO or BH on Thursday to campaign, thought there was no need. 150 in the bag for sure. Not Mantan tho, he predicted low numbers and no Burt. YHC prefers quality over quantity, however the king of mumble chatter was alive and well - rolling in, windows down, 2000 era hits turnt up to 11. [Read More]

Agility City

A perfect Wednesday morning for a Shakin-not-Stirred workout: temps in upper 50’s and mild+ humidity. There were a lot of F3 men milling about the shovel flag by 5:40 a.m., many of which were covered in sweat after the 5:05 a.m. F3 Insomnia run. By 5:44 a.m., men had split up into Vesper running group and the classic SNS bootcamp group. There was a singular flip flop that someone tossed in the center circle of the classic SNS bootcamp group, then I stepped into the middle which added another singular Flip Flop in the center circle. Stick Move

GroupMe was all atwitter (pun most definitely intended) the night before with speculation about what was going to happen at Ma Bell’s 3 year F3iversary. “I’ll bet it’s Merkins” “Keep calm and Merkin on.” Shut up, you don’t know me. Fast forward to Thursday morning. 19 folks came out to find out for themselves instead of retreating to their fartsacks. Side note: I like a word that can be used as both a verb and a noun. Jackpot!

YHC had been traveling all week, obliquely aware of the goings-on in CARPEX. Something about boats and canoes. Multi-packs in progress. Whatever. After a reverse taper week with one measly run, plus missing EC due to alarm difficulties, I was ready to get after it. Warm-up Run to the ball park lot and circle up for SSH, MC, GM, windmills. Sir Fazio x10 - hold - overhead clap x20ish - hold - moroccan nightclub - hold - hold - pause - hold - Sir Fazio reverse. [Read More]

Follow My Cadence

After my long commute from Apex up to DZ, I was greeted by 13 PAX ready for a good workout. Burt had saved up 6 days of mumble chatter and was in high form and brought a lot of fun this fine morning. Permit running in last minute, off we go around the “pickle” for one lap and circle up at the entrance for: Warm Up 10 Good Mornings 20 Side Straddle Hops [Read More]

So, a new AO - Bounty Hunters - debuted today somewhere north of Atlanta. I heard it’s about a 4-hour drive, so I was pretty shocked to see that 32 PAX made it all the way down there for the christening. Good on ya. Meanwhile, in downtown Cary, 12 PAX milled around the normal starting spot wondering where on earth the B.O. shovelflag was. Oh, the other site Q has it. [Read More]
