JP's VVQ

After returning home from the Oak City Recovery Run Club block party on Tuesday night, I sat with the M watching the Bachelor Winter Games (because I suppose that’s more entertaining than the quadrennial actual winter games), looking at a map of Bond Park, and perusing the exicon and this fine F3 nation page. It was a 2 hour show. We are diehard Bachelor fans (cc: @AndrewPass and @AP013 on Twitter). [Read More]

This PAX is on Fire

Dow Jones wasn’t the only one that had a rough week. YHC was again bit by some sort of bug and two colleagues went down with the flu. So what better way to cap off the week than rising from the ashes at Phoenix? 20 PAX agreed and all 21 of us hit the gloom. Though rain threatened, we stayed mostly dry. A few hearty PAX ran into the AO from various destinations, working to get in some extra miles leading up to various events this Spring. [Read More]

Crunch Time, Boo Yah

Crunch Time, Boo Yah February 6, 2018 AO: Rush Hour Q: Banjo Pax: Aristocrat, Disco Duck, Mojo, Ollie, YHC Banjo During morning mosey to school with youngest 2.0, I was reminded that M will be picking up 2.0 from school. With some new found free time, my cooking dinner responsibilities were last night, YHC pondered ever so briefly on the prospects: post at Rush Hour or Q Rush Hour. Perfect. YHC had a planned scheduled stop at Peak Olive Oil [Read More]

My Infinity Loop is Bigger Than Yours

When Disco Duck’s call went out to the PAX due to a sparsely populated Q Sheet, YHC jumped in on a couple, including today’s Vesper. Yesterday’s FOD-a-ganza Qed by Shut-E inspired my route selection for today, only the Vesper crowd wants a little more than a quarter mile shindig I’m told. You can see the details in the images below, including the fact that Coney pushed me for a sub-8-minute mile in the last 1. Back of the Lowes Parking Lot

I got a tip from my coworker that the park was closed this week. A quick check of the park’s facebook page, yeah it has a facebook page, and I knew we needed an alternate location. The back of the Lowes parking lot will work. I didn’t foresee the confusion on the location but Joe Smith is a lawyer so that might be the problem. I showed up and Hermes was already there and Ollie was directing people to our location. [Read More]

Men at Work

When the M tells you that your plans are canceled and you are able to go work out AND you see that there’s a vacancy in the Q spot. Coincidence or Providence? It matters not because there was work to be done. Warm Up: Jog over to the grassy area and square up. 20x SSH IC 10x GM IC 10x WM IC 10x IW IC Head back over to the parking lot where we line up on the curb for… [Read More]

What the heck is an Octothreat

As the Twitterserve would have it, YHC and some of the fellas including Captain Insano got into a deep-cut thread over the weekend and thus was born the “Octothreat.” With the pressure of the entire F3 Nation, YHC set out to embark the PAX on the first-ever Octothreat. But first, another solid showing at Insomnia. YHC was looking for the easy way out before the Q on this morn, but the peer pressure pushed YHC into the 0505 start time (sorry to Angry Elf who showed up like a HIM at 0520 for recon). [Read More]

1/27/17

15 PAX joined me this morning to celebrate my 1-year F3 Anniversary. One year ago, my good friend Crimson convinced me to be ready to go at 5:15 am for a workout on a cold January morning. When I arrived at Dante’s Peak, I was overwhelmed with new people with funny nicknames including our Q (which I eventually figured out was the leader) named Hotspot. I don’t remember what all we did that morning other than bear crawl the bridge at DP but I thought there was no way I’d be back much less lead a workout. [Read More]

Saturday lunch bunch

YHC was on the home front on this Saturday morning. With that, YHC put it out there, “any him looking to join for a mid-day beatdown, we’ll launch from SNS at 1130,” and the boom in the gloom saw YHC, Disco Duck, Ollie and Mojo roll out. The entire thang: Run to the lot at High House and Cary Pwy for quick feet, cerkins, quick feet, derkins, quick feet, curb mountain climbers. [Read More]
