A lot of chatter the night before about the amount of chatter coming YHC’s way this morning. Had a nice little vanilla workout planned, but the return of our brother Crimson pulled big crowd, and most of them are big talkers. Modify as needed has a new meaning. Eight PAX gathered in the well-lit gloominess of St. Mary Magdalene church. It was just above the freezing mark, the temperature dropping more than the Steve had predicted at 9:00 pm the night before. Sour Mash gives the disclaimer, and with the freshly painted Lion’s Den shovel flag firmly anchored in the cold turf, we pledge our allegiance. Sixteen gathered at the flag for the first exercise, the Pledge of Allegiance. After disclaimers are given and allegiance is pledged, mosey to the large parking lot. One coming in hot brings it to 17. Warm Up SSHs, Cotton-pickers, Moroccan Night Clubs, Sir Fazio, Plank Jacks and Control Freak Merkins Thang 1 Modified Cooper - instead of exercises each lap, we are going to stop twice per lap to complete in descending fashion - 10 Burpees, 10 Squats, 10 Merkins. When YHC performed his final posting of the Old Q summary to slack, there was an opening at one of his top AO’s. It’s been quite a while since the PAX has been subjected to a Hotspot Q, so YHC signed up before sending out a fully filled in Qlist for the week. I don’t mind cold weather so long as I don’t have to scrap frost off my windshield. What does that have to do with the workout? Nothing, except that it was cold. It was cold until we got going. But how far were we going? All the way to CC Jones park. This is great little park for both workouts and for the family. Definitely recommend taking the family there if you are in the area.
