Kettlebellers

Beautiful morning at Hell’s Bells for some fun! My first kettleball workout Q, so I did my homework & hoped to do a proper job…. 14 HIMs gathered – No FNGs, only familiar faces. F3 intro given & we started with the pledge. Moseyed around the pickle – front/back/left/right, etc…. With all that running out of the way, we rolled into: The Warm Up Circle up for SSH, prisoner squats (deep stretch style), homer-to-marge, lunges, hip rotators, merkins, and spidermans. [Read More]

Perfect Timing

YHC rolled into Sovereign Grace Church to notice 2019 HOTY candidate Theisman doing ECP all by his lonesome. Although PAX were gathering in the parking lot, this called for a few ECP to make sure the ol’ QB was not lonely. At 0529 we joined the other 20 in the normal gathering spot for Tortoises. Disclaimer was disclaimed, and off we did not go. Warm Up Circle up, 10 burpees OYO to calm the chatter. [Read More]

Nemesis

Odd title, right? Well, I don’t just mean rival or enemy or generic bad thing. I am going old-school for the classical Greek meaning of the goddess who enacts retribution on an individual suffering hubris, or foolish pride. Or, in the immortal words of Brick Top, “Do you know what nemesis means? A righteous infliction of retribution manifested by an appropriate agent. Personified in this case by an ‘orrible c**t — Apex Nature Park. [Read More]

Back in the Saddle

You ever had one of those moments when that which you once found easy to do is now quite taxing. It has almost been three weeks since I last posted. Many HIMs have reached out to check in on me during this time and I am appreciative. Never the less it was time to get back in the saddle. There’s nothing like putting yourself on the hook to Q to hold you accountable to posting. [Read More]

There are so many things you can do with the KBs and it is defaulted to a limited run AO which is right down my alley. The gloom temp was spot on (balmy 60+ degrees). [Read More]

"You can't go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending." - C.S. Lewis

It was cold, the fart sack temptation was real, and every day we are faced with decisions that will impact our end changes, but also change the story of those around us. Maybe we speed up and block the car from merging in because they didn’t wait their turn (zipper merge is scientifically proven to be more effective…another discussion for another time), we walk the cart back into the store, or when we ask somehow their day is going we actually stop and listen because we want to know and we didn’t just ask because it is what you are supposed to do in the break room at work. All About Preparation

AO: Slippery When Wet QIC: Staubach 18 Wonderful Pax learned a valuable life lesson today. Preparation and practice is the key to success. I entered the the morning well rested with a perfectly timed and orchestrated plan that both started and ended on time. Many Pax will say Staubach got back from Atlanta very late, had less than 3 hours of sleep and had over 2 hours of exercises planned for the 45 minute time slot…. [Read More]
