Are we still writing backblasts?

Hello, and welcome to Fastest Friday AO in Carpex! The site that never shut down. Where mileage records are set and asterisks are badges of honor. YHC put forth his best marketing campaign he could to reQruit our native #beardedmillennial but with the Covid15 around his waste, Fortnight at his fingers, and a warm and dry fartsack YHC received word this morning at 0830 he “didn’t hear the alarms.” And he’s “sorry man”. RESPECT

This Guy! Largemouth, Denali and Wonderbread for some EC laps around the AO. Today is a perfect example of never giving up on your dreams. I’ve waited for this day for 50 years and it finally happened. You see kids…. Great group of defiant HIM this morning for an early rollout of Phase 2. We ran, circled up, and celebrated the day of my birth with 5 Good Mornings; 19 Steve Earles; and 70 (IC) SSH. [Read More]

THEMES...sometimes less is more

This guy! Michelob, Largemouth, Chanticleer and Blazing Banjo for a little EC. Great group of guys this morning including a FNG. A disclaimer was given, and then a disclaimer about the disclaimer was given. Today was supposed to be the day before This guy! and Michelob left for Boston to run a little road race they have there, and we had signed up to Q GT as a little sendoff. Then COVID-19 happened and so… but we decided to Q anyway. [Read More]

"It's as easy as ABC..."

So YHC had been on the Q sheet for SNS for a while now, before AOs started to close and practically all of F3 had shut down. Without still attending “F3” workouts, I know I would go to a bad place of staying up late, eating like garbage, and worst of all, not working out. So might as well still show up and see if anyone else does too. Low and behold, upon pulling in the parking lot there stands 3 other Pax and some runners cruising around the parking lot of the Bond Park Senior Center. [Read More]

It's called WWI. Look it up!

Inspired By Burt (that is not a typo)

Michelob and YHC for a little EC Posting at Bradford’s Ordinary yesterday I was “inspired” by Burt’s shared cluster Q. To the untrained eye, it may have seemed like he was unprepared but he was, in fact, helping to shape and invigorate. What, I’m not actually sure, but there was definitely shaping and invigorating going on. And it seemed to work. So I borrowed his lackadaisical Qing style and implemented it at DAC. [Read More]

Dr. Dre makes ya feel alright

#COVID19 is now officially in full hysteria mode. I mean that in the “uncontrolled” and not “exaggerated” sense of the term since who knows if the hysteria is warranted or not. But considering that the NBA just suspended their season… and travel from Europe into the US is blocked… and America’s Dad (or whatever we are calling Tom Hanks nowadays) is not in quarantine in Australia as a result of COVID… well, the shite has gotten real. The "Combine" 2/3 Beast

The time has come for tryouts for the site co-Q at Full Metal Jacket. Simply Sub is off over the pond touring foreign countries for the next several weeks and his new job will take him away from the Carpex maiden-land. That leaves a spot open on the FMJ site co-Q. One of the most coveted spots in the Carpex nation. This is Carpex’s Tuesday premier high tempo workout location. [Read More]

1983 GMC Vandura

The AO A-Team has special place in YHCs heart. After all, it was where my first post was in July of 2016 with Banjo as the QIC. That particular day we had 18 men, and all but two are still Carpex regulars. In fact, four of those guys were there today: Banjo, Compound W, Michelob, and Shut-In. YHC rolled up with about 4 minutes to spare. Holy Schnikies!, nowhere to hardly park. [Read More]
