Sugar Cookie... Yum.

We got your back Suey! Get well soon. With little time to plan where’s the best place to go for new and exciting ideas? The F3 Exicon. Oh the fun… Shout out to 6 HIMs who arrived at 0515 for EC pull-ups! Committed to getting back to back! As per Crimson’s watch, it’s 0545- Pledge of Allegiance. Warm up Side Straddle Hop Steve Earl Fluttering Superman Finkle Swing (another sweet Exicon find) Midget Squats (Earhart was giving me a hard time about something and YHC really likes these so we enjoyed them for a few extra reps) Thang 1 [Read More]

Flag Day Fun

June 14, 2018 – Flag Day YHC Bayonne was honored to host 19 other men (including two F3 HIMs’ sons) for his first “real Q” (not counting a last-minute stand-in for McCants at FWD 5/29) on a glorious sunny Flag Day morning in the Peak of Good Living, USA. Today’s magic number was 14, in honor of the day. Tank Top participation was mediocre, with YHC and 8 other HIM’s sporting some form of non-sleeved attire (Red Ryder and Disco Duck being among the best dressed). A Hot and Humid Mess

When: June 11th, 2018 QIC: Earhart The PAX: Matlock, Billy, Ausfarht, Kubota, Pickles, Leprechaun, WWW, Katniss, Monkey Nut, YHC Earhart A Shelter Workout! When it rains on the Hell’s Bell’s, the workout moves into the shelter (who wants to swing around a wet kettlebell). And man was it hot and humid, even at oh-dark-30. Katniss coming in hot, guess he didn’t pay the toll. We head out and down to our favorite circle for: [Read More]

Superman Protocol

19 of the finest HIM in all of Apex descended upon the Apex Nature Park probably thinking of a nice easy transition into the weekend by the old man Q. Let me tell you boys, us RESPECTs still got some whup-ass in us. 0545 - let’s go Warm-Up Line up in 4 lines for a cadence run sung to the F3 principles jody written by a Hampton Roads PAX. I understand some of you weren’t able to hear me; sorry about that. [Read More]

How not to make friends, by FNG Cataracts (that's plural)

The day before my Q at Hell’s Bells I asked the site Qs if running was discouraged. Neither Monkey Nut or Earhart responded, so I naturally assumed that meant running was a great idea. It’s not. I was instantly berated with a verbal assault from the first step. However, sticking to my plan, the later runs actually became a nice break from the punishing kettle bell workout we were experiencing. Crimson even thanked me for running and volunteered to run more if that meant he didn’t have to pick up his KB again. [Read More]

3 is the magic number

Historians, F3 Founders, Hip Hop Band De La Soul and of course Schoolhouse Rock all agree that 3 is a magic number. Three is a magic number. Yes it is, it’s a magic number. Somewhere in ancient mystic trinity, You get three as a magic number. The past and the present and the future. Faith and Hope and Charity. The heart and the brain and the body, Give you three as a magic number [Read More]

Warning: Cloudy with a chance of Sharknado

In the great tradition of the original Bounty Hunters site Q Water Wings, YHC wanted to continue the benchmark day fitness challenge. In an effort to save a little gas in the tank for the main event, we relocated the historical fitness test location of Baucom Elementary School over to Apex Town Hall courtyard across the street from the skate park. It was October of 2016 at Field of Dreams when YHC (and Carpex, I think…) was first introduced to the Sharknado. [Read More]

Lady Luck

I don’t always leave my Qs to the whims and fancy of Fate, but when I do, I prefer dice. Here’s what we did: The Warm-Up (Beaker’s Beginnings) Jog to the end of the lot for SSH, good mornings, SFACs, Franklins, IWs Jog back to the shelter The Thang (Beaker’s Beatdown) PAX assemble in a circle each with a kettle bell (A kettle bell, I think you mean kettle bellS - Kubota). Kettlebell Clock of Pain

Well, appears something going on with the fields and the regular spot that we normally meet because the gate in is locked. We decide to head to the nature park up the street because for some reason that gate is open. Gather the HIM and head over, parking in the very back near the shelter. Hop out and see this great circle that just shouts for some sort of pain. First-up though, we need to mosey to the front of the parking area for: [Read More]

Fifty-two pick-up

Sixteen HIM gathered in the A-Team gloom this morning to help YHC celebrate a 52nd lap around the sun. It was extra gloomy, but the temps were perfect. As anyone knows who has Q’d A-Team, it pays to have a plan A and a plan B, depending on what time CheddarBo rolls in to unlock the gate. 5:45 and no sign of him, so plan B is in effect. No FNGs, but YHC does a quick facsimile of the disclaimer anyway, and we’re off. [Read More]
