ScareFlo

The Carpex social medias were abuzz the past few days: would the AOs be open on Friday? Turns out the answer was yes, as Hurricane Florence’s weather held off just enough for the men to safely post across Carpex. That being said, the followers of DangerZone across the globe wondered who the QIC would be. With @shutincarpex signed up with the Q, the weather was still very suspicious, so Shut-In understandably opted to stay closer to home. Peaceful Transitions

A few months ago at regular Wolverine coffeteria Hi-Liter and Biner were talking about who would be the next Site-Qs. That’s when our eyes met and the rest is history Biner did the same thing to BOGO, but it looked like this: It was weird, but it worked. All kidding aside, I think I can speak for BOGO in that we were both excited to take on the role and really look forward to seeing how the site evolves over the upcoming year. [Read More]

Please, put your shirt back on

29 giants of the gridiron took to the pristine fields of Mills Park to usher in the 2018 NFL Regular Season. Under cover of darkness, half the crew shed their shirts to reveal chiseled abs, bulging biceps, and tantalizing tattoos. Ma Bell couldn’t get his shirt off fast enough, prompting YHC’s favorite quote of the morning…“He paid too much for that to keep his shirt on.” But let’s get down to business so YHC can focus on BRR mental preparations. B R aRen't

18 Pax made it out to Hunter Street Park for a lovely 74 degree and 94 percent humid morning. Slack chatter was looking for an unfriendly BRR beatdown. Lots of mileage was logged yesterday so YHC agreed. See, not always Angry Shutty. Sometimes Very Accomodating Shutty. Here’s what went down after the 0545 disclaimer and Shut-In Shignature warmup… Thang 1: Plank-o-rama First pax took a lap around the soccer field fence and circled back up at the skate park. 11 x 2 = 22

Second Q ever for YHC was to the point with some room for improvement. Cadence counts are getting better and everyone had fun… I think. It was quiet, not much in the way of mumble chatter for this beatdown. Thanks to the 18 that showed for the track work and 22’s. It was a beatdown and according to GTL possibly a new record for distance with the 3.5 miles we racked up. [Read More]

BRR Preview Bus Trip

Hermes had a great idea a few months ago. All the BRR guys would grab all the Q spots for an entire week just prior to the race, and we do running workouts at every AO for the week. Well, YHC did his part. The original plan for the day was to do a Double 11’s, but just last week, Ma Bell unwittingly stole my workout! Oh well, another plan lay in waiting for the PAX and this was it. [Read More]
