We Have Liftoff

AO Launch Day. YHC was a bit nervous about attendance because there had been zero Slack hype for this event during the lead up. Despite that fact, a lot of folks somehow showed up to be part of the emergence from stealth mode. YHC knew something major was afoot when Ma Bell decided to again venture into “the eastern regions of his former kingdom” for not only the ME but an EC run taboot. The Lord Provides

The last few weeks at Hell’s Bells has been great as we’ve been pushing 20+ PAX several times. The issue this creates is we are always on the edge of having enough bells, and the site Q’s (Lindy and I) are working on getter more bells (Send Money to Lindy’s Venmo @Joeldangerfield if you can help, $5 goes a long way). Fortunately, the Lord always provides, this time in the form of cinder blocks. [Read More]

The Switcheroo

Not going to pretend that I wasn’t a little excited about this day. Today was my 1 year anniversary of my first post with F3, right here at Dante’s Peak. A couple weeks prior Parker messaged me about this week as it was his 40th birthday last year for my first post. So we decided to keep it quiet, leave him on the Q Sheet, and pull the switcheroo on the Pax that I would be leading the beat down for the morning. [Read More]

Closing out DTP and 2019 with a VQ

With an impending night of debauchery in store for most, an impressive 28 rolled out of bed for a VQ by YHC to close out 2019. I must say, I couldn’t tell at first if I was honored to have that many show up or to pity them for what might be a disaster first Q (probably both). Either way, after going over the F3 mission and core principles with the FNG (nailed it btw), we headed out for what I was hoping to be an “END THE YEAR BEATDOWN. [Read More]

It's Gotta be the Shoes

Strava: https://www.strava.com/activities/2533656518 17 Pax gathered at Cary’s Koka Booth VIP lot ready for a high tempo beatdown led by YHC (or why else would I be writing the BB?) As the crowd gathered it appeared we’d also have a high tempo mumblechatter kinda morning. And boy did we. 1 FNG, formerly known as “Ken”, now referred to as Snapback was there. He has lived here about a year and was a referral from the Cape Fear boys, where SB used to live. [Read More]

It's all circles

Q swap week took YHC to where it all started back in September of 2017…Thunder. I remember it like it was yesterday. I was EH’d by M4L and the beatdown was brought to us by Butt Joint. Thank you men for re-igniting that fire (see below.) **Warm-Up **Circle Up. Good Evenings, Windmill, Sir Fazio’s, Seal Clap, [10 penalty burpees for Sea Horse from Wilmington, who we found out later came directly from the airport for the workout #sorrynotsorry] Overhead Clap, Morroccan Night Club, Steve Earle, Mnt. Carpex at Cletus

When: January 19th, 2018 QIC: Earhart The PAX: 187, Pikachu, Lucky Charms, DoubleD, Term Paper, Disco Duck, Banjo, Shut-In, Banana Seat, Puddles, Slide Rule, Dog Pound, Dead Bolt, Buford, R22, Gump, Webex, Draper, Dauber, Brexit, Nemo, YHC Earhart It’s was icy, the roads were questionable, the radio news programs were all doom and gloom, and YHC was up early determined to represent our Carpex brothers in South Wake. I headed out from Apex, driving carefully, minding my lanes and looking for that elusive black ice, but, the path to Cletus turned out to be fine and YHC had no issues getting to the AO, outside the 6 foot high speed breakers.
