Date: 4/2/19 QIC: WWW AO: FWD PAX: Kitty Litter, Lite Brite, Oofta, Smokey, Titanic, WWW, Yoga Mat My quest to Q once a week is still going strong. I drove the FWD proper yesterday, after work, to recon the AO. What’s deceiving is when you are driving in your car, you do not realize that FWD is in a valley; therefore, to get out of it, there is an incline no matter which direction you chose and venture off to. I don't need to 'splain myself

I see what you’re trying to do, Cally, and I don’t need to explain the burpee hill race. My crew DOMINATED IT. It sucked, yes. But we did it because: The Q said to do it and you do what the Q says. Good leadership I guess. It sucked. Usually things that suck are hard. We wanted to better ourselves. Back in Black is better than BO. (Don’t ask Term Paper or Jiggly Puff though) The Burpee Hill Race: [Read More]

Tribute

The weather this morning reflected my mood to a T. It was rainy, dreary. A slight wind took whatever moisture was on our clothing and used it to sink its chill deep into our bones. A real jerk move, wind. The evening prior I had hoped that maybe the weather forecast was wrong. After all, the weather experts/enthusiasts only gave it a 60% chance of raining from 0630 to 0730. Alas, I resigned myself to the fact that we were going to get wet and cold. [Read More]

Perfect weather at B in B

The forecast was calling for a high probability of rain, so the day before YHC scoped out a dry parking garage up the road from the AO Back in Black. No matter the weather, the parking garage was a perfect place for 8 HIM to do some strong work at the earliest AO in Carpex. After the pledge and a botched disclaimer (there were no FNGs anyway, but per Ma Bell via Hermes we’re always supposed to be giving the disclaimer) we warmed up. [Read More]

My Perogative!

Date: 2/7/2019 QIC: WWW AO: Back-in-Black PAX: Hermes, FNG High Splits, Hi-Liter, Lightbrite, Swank, Theismann, Texas Ranger, WWW, Yoga Mat I was a little worried about my right knee this morning because I tweaked it posting at FMJ while doing some hill work. Even with two bum knees, I could not let the PAX down and circumsack. Lucky for me, I’m the Q and I can control the mileage. I tested it before start and the pain was not bad enough to bow out. Last Minute Q-Omaha

13 PAX gathered, and some were hoping for a Squatter Q. Others got the Slack message the Squats would be resting up for the Maynard and YHC would be jumping in with quotes and 100’s and other fun stuff. Several (I believe 5) for pre-run. No FNGs. Thang - Jog to Chanticleers for a standard warm-up and some merkins. Then for some light pole fun. 3 hand release merkins (signature move! [Read More]
