Memorial Day Beatdown: In honor of 1st Lt Roslyn L. Schulte

Memorial Day is a holiday to honor this who served in the Armed Services and have paid the ultimate sacrifice protecting our nation and the nation’s interest worldwide. I also want to honor our first responders who also made the ultimate sacrifice. On this day we honor 1st Lt Roslyn L. Schulte. Lt Schulte was serving as an Intelligence Liaison whose mission is to teach our Afghan military allies to gather and interpret intelligence data/information. [Read More]

Gorillas in the Gloom

Sitting on the can this morning about the time the Back in Black boys were stepping out of their cars into the gloom, I am not ashamed to admit that a certain thought crossed my mind: ”Why in the hell did I pick today to Q?” After two months out of the gloom, it’s a bit easy to get soft. Not just muscle soft or calluses soft but mentally soft. Examples? [Read More]

The Gloom Belongs to Us! 10 Pax showed up to re-launch A-team. YHC had the Q. Burpees, Bears, and Blocks! Oh my!

For my VQ, I thought it best to combine some of my least and therefore most memorable workouts over my last six months in F3. The two Q’s who I got the most from was Banjo and Wahoo. These two Q’s provided the inspiration for burpees and blocks. In order to increase the alliteration in the title of the workout, I did some digging in the Exicon to find an exercise that combined bear crawls and cinder blocks. [Read More]

No run = more fun!

“If it ain’t rainin’ it ain’t trainin’” attrib. various rowing coaches. Often followed at this time of year with “If it ain’t snowin’ it ain’t rowin’”. Both followed with helpful coaching tips such as “Row better!”. For those who’ve not been much, or ever (Welcome, Texas Ranger!), Claymore is a limited run ao - I’ve found this can be taken to mean there are only short runs back and forth, round the pickle etc. [Read More]

52 Qs done ... BLIMPS Ladder taboot

Date: 11/26/19 I have reached a personal goal I set at the start of the year. I wanted to Q an average of 1 per week. I still have 4 weeks left and I planned to Q a 7-pack in week 50. When you focus on your goal, you can achieve anything. What is exciting about Q’ing a workout is developing a routine that will challenge the PAX. I had fun building the routine. [Read More]

Triple D Dora

This was just the most interesting picture of Miss Dora I found on the Googles. 23 PAX showed up on a brisk Monday morning to shake off the rust from the weekend and perhaps sweat out a few toxins. YHC, along with Two Factor and Sooey, took a little 2 mile EC jaunt prior to the ME. No FNGs, somewhat of a disclaimer and mission statement, recited the pledge and we were off. [Read More]

RED

We had a couple of visitors from out of town this morning, Monk from F3 The Capital (and before that Gastonia), and Red Baron from wherever Living Legends come from. Warm-Up Disclaimer and Pledge, mosey around the parking lot and grab some curb for three rounds of quick feet and curb irkens, then to the top of the deck and circle up for cherry pickers, arm twirlies, seal claps, hillbillies and a round of Good Mornings expertly led by Crimson. Freedom Rings even when you're Dazed and Confused

Date: 11/15/19 As I was trying to develop the workout, all I can think about is honoring all our Veterans this week and it’s RESPECT week. I always like to do something different in my workouts. It’s fun to scour the Exicon for new exercises. So, I dug deep into the list and brought out some stuff I’ve never heard about. Read on to know what we did: F3-adminstrivia done. No FNGs. [Read More]
