I get a little anxious when it comes to Qing “High Tempo” workouts. Will I get enough miles in? There’s a certain group of Pax among us that expect a certain mileage minimum for such workouts. But will there be enough variety for the rest of the Pax? Well, I attempted to come up with a plan that would appease all, but wouldn’t you know it, at 0530 that certain group was nowhere to be found anyway.

A Well Balanced Beatdown
The Green Mile is a great location to meet up in the gloom and workout. Though, with it being one of the longest, I felt it could be one of the more challenging bootcamps to lead, especially when the factor of heat is brought into the equation. So YHC considered it a great honor to come out and Q it, and one that I took very seriously. The weather started out very nice, and stayed nice really through the entire time!

After the Hurricane
A beautiful night in down town Cary. The feels like temperature was below 90 and the humidity was at 61%. A eager PAX arrived, well they weren’t that eager. Chatter at the beginning was to run to Bond and call it a workout. It was too nice to not enjoy a bootcamp with coupons. 2 minute warning, no FNG, Mission, and Pledge.
Warm Up:
Mosey around campus.

Hills and Rock Music
Well, another great day with the Bounty Hunters is in the books! YHC made sure to get there early, as I had to set up for an elaborate plan I had working for the latter half of the beatdown. More on that later. Back at the starting point, the 4 pax doing the Apex Hill runs were already long gone, which brought the Pax number for the bootcamp to 11! Confirming there were no FNGs, we did the Pledge, and then we were off and running down Hunter St!

Back-in-Bounty Hunters
Prologue:
A couple months ago, the Bounty Hunters shirt went up for sale. I’m both a Star Wars and F3 nerd, so I was all in, but I felt like I shouldn’t wear the shirt of a Carpex AO where I’d never posted. Since I’m solo Site-Qing at Back in Black right now, I needed a flag at Koka Booth, so that I could head to Bounty Hunters and check that box.

Hot in Herre

Warm Up Control freak Good Afternoons
Windmills
Side Straddle Hops
Sir Fazio (done after going to the bottom deck)
The Thang Done with warm-ups, we mosey over to the field and behind the parking deck to retrieve the pain sticks.

Four Corner Burnout
It twas a great morning in the downtown part of Apex as (lucky number) 13 pax, including an FNG, showed up for a beatdown! YHC made sure to get there a few minutes ahead of schedule to make sure Google maps was still all it was cracked up to be.. as well as my memory..
So after the disclaimer was given and the pledge was recited, we were off!

Embrace the Sweat
This morning was a perfect morning to get some good B.O. (The workout site not the stench…duh), and 8 pax got a healthy dose (of possibly both). The start time arrived sooner than expected, or so it seemed, not sure why. Maybe it was the Q-drinaline I don’t know. At any rate, after the mission statement was given, and the Pledge was recited, we were off and running to the big fountain at the top of Academy St.
