This BB only exists so that some eager Q can post a bigger number in the header.

In the meantime, six runners and one rucker posted in the snow and did their best to over >4.5 miles and >450'.

Dad Loves You - Now Do Those Freakin' Burpees!

Arrived at the flag at about 7:56 after a really good breakfast for dinner. You ever have breakfast for dinner? That is THE BEST. However, the ice cream sandwich after was prolly a little over the top, and YHC will regret that later. Warm Up Two laps around the pickle. Circle up for SSHs, Steve Earles, Sir Fazio arm circles, Runners stretch, calf stretch, merkins x 50 The Thang Mosey to the end of the tennis courts. [Read More]

Farewell 2020

The day was December 31st, the last day of the year 2020. Can’t remember a year before where so many people around the world were saying good riddance as they, anxiously, laid it to rest in its proverbial grave. Then vigorously covered it up with as much dirt as possible. While I agree that 2020 has been a very difficult and trying year in many ways, overall and overtime, I’m coming around to viewing 2020 from a different perspective. [Read More]

Sevens Three Ways

Site Q Sooey had promised 57 degrees this morning, and he was off by about 13 degrees, so 13 vets and 1 FNG had to deal with an Angry Duck Warm-Up Mosey to the Christmas tree in beautiful downtown Apex and circle up for a few warm-up exercises, including Good Mornings from Crimson. The Thang Mosey around the corner to the T-intersection next to the Methodist church and split into three groups. [Read More]

Pee-wee's Big Adventure

Weather: clear, brisk 29 degrees. Scene at 5:43 a.m.: 16 dudes gathered around (a couple even performed Insomnia before the Main Event). YHC was standing in the center of the circle on his used-new Flip Flop door mat gifted from Burt. One of the 16 dudes was FNG Anthony, EH’d by Captain Kirk, who rode in on his 10 speed. There stood FNG Anthony; holding a water bottle, and dressed very warmly in 4 layers up top, and 3 layers down low (as you would if you just biked in 29 degree weather). [Read More]

It Gets Harder as it Gets Easier

As I’ve been saying for a while now, I think I got spoiled by the seemingly extended warm weather we had this year. Cause now you can really notice the cold thats here now. This was certainly the case this past Tuesday as YHC ventured out to Q Field of Dreams. Which was the last of the different Tues/Thurs workouts I had planned to Q this year! 19 Pax in total made it out to the site, though the runners were already long gone by the time the bootcamp began. 🎶 5 Bu-r-pees... 🎶

The Q for Lion’s Den remained unfufilled and I hadn’t Q’d on the home turf in sometime so I took the opportunity. 10 Pax gathered at the flag with no FNG’s although with the winter gear on some were more distinguishable than others. A quick pledge and we’re off. Tour of Lights Mosey I had promised Coxswain a view of my neighbor’s Star Wars Christmas display as a perk to coming to Lion’s Den earlier in the week on Slack, alas he picked up the Q at Point Break so wasn’t with us – I decided to go through with the tour anyhow. One Year and Respect Week

Celebrated Respect Week and my one year anniversary in F3. My first year has been highlighted with a VQ, a Thanksgiving and New Year Convergence, COVID restrictions, Virtual Workouts, a Maynard, BRR training/relay, the Odyssey, and the development of friendships and personal growth. It was a cool evening and 10 PAX (also 2.0’s Sonic & Tails) , 2 dogs, and a visiting PAX Poncherello (works at Cary Police 911 and we often see him going to work when we are waiting. [Read More]

Viewing Downtown

Another great Tuesday night beatdown in the books! YHC and Cauliflower were there early, so we took a little run down DTC to get loosened up. Along the way we met up with Captain Kirk on his bike and had him join us! After the warm up run we all made it back to the start where we welcomed back Freebird! So with the four of us it was soon time to start. [Read More]
