Eight Years

I had to de-commit from a BH Halloween Q, so I scooped up this FWD Q toward the end of last week. Knew it was going to be sandwiched between a late night return from being DR and an insane week at work, but the importance around the day itself made committing to this make sense… FNG Check - F3 Mission Statement - Disclaimer - FOLLOW ME! And in this corner...

With the upcoming Haven House Rumble, YHC thought I should try to train at least a little bit for the dance around the squared circle. It was a great morning to show up with a loosely developed plan. Watching a few clips of The One and Only Tony Horton inspired some P90x style exercises. 0545 Circle Up, Mission, Pledge, Disclaimer Warm-Up: a couple of fellowship mosey trips around the pickle with some invigorating butt kickers, high knees, and karaokes. Letting Go at Slippery When Wet

After two and a half years of posting, YHC finally got around to Q’ing. It was a glorious day for a VQ as the feel of fall was in the air and the PAX were in a jovial mood. We had 22 PAX in attendance (including 1 doing the IronPAX) and there were no FNGs. We started with the pledge and then ran to the playground-facing lot for a warm up as it was the only lit area in the entire AO beyond the bathrooms. [Read More]

Staring straight down 44

YHC has but few rules to live by. Love the Lord. Love your neighbor. Q on your birthday and your F3 anniversary. Maybe I’ve skipped a few between the second and third one on the list, but it was relevant on Saturday 8/10/2019 at Phoenix. A crowd of Q-shoppers gathered along with one FNG (brought out by Blind Date, whom I’d not met before), and we issued a brief disclaimer and Mission, and headed off to the Community Center. Hot for Thursday

Let’s Get Started Disclaimer - I am not a professional, F3 has no assets (did a lawyer actually make sure I can’t be sued? 28 HIMs showed up to celebrate 5-years of wonderful workouts on Mondays! They were led by 108 years of experience on a classic tour of the site. Warm-Up WWW started the process with the standard disclaimer. There were no FNGs. We pledged allegiance to Old Glory and took off for a short run. WWW led us in GM, Abe Vigodas, Sir Fazio Arm Circles, Seal Claps, Eskimo Merkins (they are not cool), hamstring stretch, and runner’s stretch. [Read More]

It wasn’t a Murph

After stressing out for a few weeks about my first Q, it’s now Monday. I ping Peeping Tom, my cousin who EH’d me one year ago, to get some feedback on my plan. Grief is delivered, something about how I’m asking him about this the day before I’m supposed to Q. I attempt to correct him, stating I’m fine, I’ll have all day Tuesday to nail things down. Additional grief is exchanged about how I’ve actually only got 10 hours before the Q. [Read More]

Sweatin' Bricks

A humble group of 8 HIM’s gathered early for the EC with Jiggly arriving even earlier at 0445 for his first of two laps around the lake. We dodged many a toad along the way. Today YHC Q-subbed for Peeping Tom who remains on IR recovering from an unfortunate cycling accident. He and Greenbow smartly chose to Mall Walk this morning’s workout while ten of us sweat with some bricks. [Read More]
