A Bridge Too Far

I arrive at AO I normally don’t visit that often (I tend to go to FOD) but I do enjoy this site and the options it brings. 22 PAX show-up on time ready for another beat down. Welcome FNG Kyrie! Q starts by getting the guys to grab some curb and do a round of quick feet, a good way to warm up before the warm up. We head out running slowly around the corner for: [Read More]

Audible City

18 of the best looking gentlemen in F3Carpex convened at the greatest Area of Operation in the nation: DangerZone! A FNG roared in a sweet looking 1962 Mustang (could have been a 1954-1968 Mustang, I have no idea, but it was a classic car nonetheless). Small talk and Smack talk ensued until 5:45 a.m., and we were off to run around The Pickle…… …..ooops, forgot to give disclaimer to FNG. In an unprecedented move, the disclaimer was provided by YHC to the mustang guy while on the run, who then said something about his niece being bad, YHC “I’m sure she’ll be OK”, FNG said something like No my sneeze is bad, YHC “probably the humidity”, then FNG yelled at me “My knees are bad”! PAXTRIOTIC 17-7-6 CLUSTER

Thank you BO Site Q/ Twitter Owner whoever you are for reminding me of my Q this am. I was well on my way to Cave Workout until I saw the tweet. Whew. Hating that I will miss the 1776 workout on the 4th (no, not really), I thought it would be fun to do a thematic workout this morning. I busted out the red-white-blue apron and wore it over my USA Tank. [Read More]

DANGER ZONE

14 Men showed up to celebrate my 51 st Bday. At 5:45 we did a slow jog to the bball courts to warm up. We opened with a moment of silence for Cheech and his family. Sorry Ma Bell I didn’t see that we were supposed to do that by the flag at 5:45. I also challenged the men to reach out to someone that we might owe an apology to and also to reach out to someone and say I love you. [Read More]

Swimming laps

YHC had it all planned out. Looked months in advance (well, maybe weeks) to find THE Monday that would mark my 2nd F3versary. Hotspot’s big suicide was my first introduction to an F3 workout. It didn’t kill me, but it was pretty close. Then, I realized, oh crud I have a weeklong project at work that starts THE SAME DAY that I had signed up to Q. Frantic, hurried inquiries with Hotspot and McCants to see if we could swap up the order. [Read More]

Stick Move

GroupMe was all atwitter (pun most definitely intended) the night before with speculation about what was going to happen at Ma Bell’s 3 year F3iversary. “I’ll bet it’s Merkins” “Keep calm and Merkin on.” Shut up, you don’t know me. Fast forward to Thursday morning. 19 folks came out to find out for themselves instead of retreating to their fartsacks. Side note: I like a word that can be used as both a verb and a noun. FNG Yoga Mat, Blue and Out, Callahan, Chanticleer, Fluoride, Hermes, Jigglypuff, Largemouth, Ollie, Term Paper, YHC Banjo Ran into to be FNG Yoga Mat at church after he and his wife were serving communion at the palm Sunday service; he said he was ready to give F3 a try. It's Raining. No, it's not.

Danger Zone welcomed us with a deluge as March was determined to go out like a lion. If you don’t get that reference, look it up. I’ll wait…Anyway, YHC’s grand, beast-like plans were thwarted. Yeah, we could have run around the pickle and rolled around in it with some Superman - Bananas, but nah. Warm-Up Jog up and around by the basketball court and into the shelter. Perform a little Hot Spot-esque feng shui (again, I’ll wait…) with the tables to make room for the Thang. [Read More]

Flirtin' with Cluster-Q

Man, these last few days have been rough in the Cally household. YHC had been sick for a couple weeks but was starting to feel better, only to start feeling like hot garbage again yesterday. The 2.0 has been struggling with an ear infection and then some other nasty virus that has had him up most of the night. And the M…well the M is doing just fine. But the lack of sleep is getting to her too a little. [Read More]
