Its a crisp morning, but thank God the rain has passed and we have a clear sky above. Someone pointed out the space station which passes directly overhead right at 5:45 to kick off our workout this morning. With temps in the 40’s 9 eager Pax are ready to get moving to stay warm so we head to the circle in front of the park to warm up. [Read More]

March Madness

Apparently it’s March already. February, you always cheat me out of 2-3 days. So time to get those NCAA pools going. But before that starts, let’s celebrate in the rainy gloom at Hunter Street Park. PERFECT weather. Warm Up JigglyPuff posts the flag, and we start with the Pledge of Allegiance. Mosey to a suitable parking lot for some warm up. Along the way we get in some butt-kickers, high knees, and side shuffles. Accountability

YHC made a last minute decision to lead Phoenix as a way to be accountable to show up and not fart sack. It is always fun to lead such a strong group of PAX! Warm Up: SSH x 15 IC Imperial Walkers x 15 IC Arm circles x 10 IC Reverse arm circles x 10 IC Mountain Climbers x 10 IC Merkins x 20 OMD Thing 1: [Read More]

A #2 in the Woods is NOT a Double Down!

Back Blast[oise]

I knew I wanted to do it at some point. 8 calendar days into the Q game seemed pretty early to break it out, but @F3CaryBO forced my hand. And as I started to piece together the workout options… there are too many ideas to be contained in 45 minutes, so consider this round one. I may have hidden from the Q spotlight for a year, but now my penchant for gimmicky theme is coming into view and I can hide it no longer. [Read More]

Another Rainy Day in Kryptonite City

Date : 02/19/18 , QIC Fluoride Roll up to Kryptonite for my Q with 2 mins. to spare, early for me. Surely it won’t rain 3 weeks in a row, Wrongggg!!! Granted it was a light rain and slightly cold, but rain none the less, and I hate to work out in the rain. The usual crew was there but good to see some new faces, Snots, Jigglypuff, Texas Ranger and Yogi, and Burt who is semi-regular, hard to miss him when you get out of the car, pontificating on the news of the weekend. 2nd Time Around

Shank put out the APB for a Q on Sunday night. YHC perused the work calendar for a moment, and heeded the call. I was set for my 2nd ever Q on Thursday at BO, but in retrospect I’m glad it came a couple of days early. Monday, being President’s Day, provided the rare opportunity to double dip for an AO survey and an outing with my 2.0. The last few weeks have been bittersweet on that front - my M is 36 and a half weeks along with our 2. [Read More]

A Toast to the HIM of Carpex

YHC became Texas Ranger on February 18, 2017 at Bond Park in Cary. Thanks to Ollie for an awesome F3 name, more cool than what I deserve. So, anniversary Q, here’s how it went: Pre warm-up: YHC announced his anniversary Q and invited the PAX to stick around after COT for a toast to the HIM of Carpex, with a little Powerade, water, and um, Scotch (The Glenlivet, my favorite). JP's VVQ

After returning home from the Oak City Recovery Run Club block party on Tuesday night, I sat with the M watching the Bachelor Winter Games (because I suppose that’s more entertaining than the quadrennial actual winter games), looking at a map of Bond Park, and perusing the exicon and this fine F3 nation page. It was a 2 hour show. We are diehard Bachelor fans (cc: @AndrewPass and @AP013 on Twitter). [Read More]
