My Buddy & Me

On Tuesday, YHC examined the Q-sheet for Bounty Hunter and noticed no one had signed up to lead the beatdown this week. I hadn’t Q’d in a while, other than the Sharknado co-Q with Rooney, so I decided to pick it up. 16 pax showed up. I Pity the Fool was already drenched from an EC run. Orphan ran in from Shepherd’s Vineyard and Bad Company and Scorpion King ran up Hunter Street. [Read More]

Two for the Price of One

YHC woke up and immediately checked the forecast. The predicted rain was GONE! 45 mins of rain, not a big deal. 90 mins of rain…a bit much. YHC also drove to the AO the day before to scout a rock pile spotted on Google Satellite (and DM’d Sub for recommended rock piles). The Google one was perfect so we were set! Upon arrival at TGM a cool breeze came as a shock. [Read More]

Anything for a Q-zie

While perusing our beautiful Q-sheet, looking for a spot to q and remembered I had never Q’d FMJ and there was an open spot and you get a koozie. I mean when stars align you go with it, even if you don’t have a theme ready to go. Everyone gathered in the parking lot, trying to stay away from the problematic traffic coming in. Disclaimer for the Pax/FNGs and we’re off. [Read More]

Push

A few months ago when the idea for Green Mile was born, I knew I’d want to lead a workout there, but I also knew that 90 minutes was a long time and I might need some help. I reached out to Red Ryder, and he was happy to jump in and give me a push. Warm-Up Pledge allegiance to the flag, then take a lap around the pickle and circle up for side straddle hops, Good Mornings, Moroccan nightclubs and Control Freak Merkins. [Read More]

Breathtaker Camo Koozie Q

YHC bid on and won Breathtaker, a 20lb weight vest that is auctioned off for charity each Friday in South Wake, which comes with a 5 post minimum for the week. Not having earned my camo koozie yet, breathtaker made it’s 3rd appearance of the week so far. 32 were witness to what it looks like to Q with an extra 20lbs, in fact Theismann and Pivot both had their own vests as well! Invigorating young men

A few days ago on ye ol’ Slack, YHC saw a cry for help across the chatter-sphere. A stomach bug of some sort was taking out the Slappy family and the FMJ Q was up for grabs. Sensing a distinct gap in my koozie inventory, YHC jumped in. As many of you know, Tuesdays are an infrequent post for me so while the kids are out of school and camp-less, might as well take advantage! [Read More]
