Revenge Tour Kick Off

No need to get into details, but the last time YHC posted at DTP he almost left in an ambulance. Some guy probably once said “you can break my body, but you can’t break my spirit.” That guy was also probably concussed. But whatever. Let’s call it a mantra and get this revenge tour kicked off. No FNGs so we go to the Pledge. Warmup: Mosey around to the other side of the church and circle up: [Read More]

31! This has been some kind of week, so just like I did in my preparation I’m going to keep it brief. Mostly recycled my May the H8th workout from last year (thank you, longevity). Here’s what we did this time: FNG Check / F3 Mission Statement / FOLLOW ME into the park Quick figure 8 through the playground, and back to the inner lot for: GM // SSH // TT // 31SM [Read More]

Wilt and Copperhead Dora

YHC had a great beatdown planned for Back in Black this week. Unfortunately my good buddy Yoga Mat did most of it during his Respect Week Q last week. Went back to the drawing board and came up with this. Warm-Up Disclaimer and Pledge, then mosey over to the Koka Booth entrance for three rounds of quick feet and irkens, then to the bottom of the hill and circle up for cherry pickers, Steve Earles, arm twirlies, seal claps and copperhead merkins. Morticia Addams, Wonder Bras, and Depends

A beautiful autumn morning, perfect for an F3 workout. YHC rolls in to Annie Jones Park to find Quikstop walking up and down the stairs holding a rucksack over his head. Frisco was supposed to join him for an EC run, but we didn’t see him. I wondered why the lot was so empty, and asked if Claymore starts at 05:30 or 05:45. Turns out it’s the latter, and I’m not the first Q to make that mistake recently. [Read More]

Pre-Blast was the ultimate fire starter. Yoga Mat is the benchmark.

AO: FWD PAX: Capt Jack, Yoga Mat, Butterfly, Build-A-Bear, Hoppin John, Easy Bake, Netscape, Smokey, Oofta, Adjacent, Lite Brite, Chipper, Term Paper, Greenbow, Stetson, Staubach, WWW My goal as I work at Q’ing at least once a week is not being predictable. I got a DM from @Yoga Mat wanting to know or get a glimpse of what I had developed. Here is the DM play by play: Yoga Mat: Good day Sir! [Read More]

Limited Run, Not Limited Fun

Claymore is one of the tougher AOs I’ve had the pleasure of Q’ing. I’m slowly but surely trying to make my way around to all the AOs. I naturally gravitate towards running, and find it a nice reprieve between the reps of misery (merkins, burpIEs, etc.), but as Claymore is “limited run”, I had to fill the time with reps on reps on reps. That’s a lot of counting for this ol’ boy. [Read More]

MiL loves her new Condo

Well, there goes my last excuse, time to ring that second bell. Warm-up 20 HIMs mosey through the balls. YHC thought to cause some chaos in people’s days by skipping the good mornings, but reflex took over and everyone got their good morning before arms circles and perfectly led seal claps. Thang 1 Tired of feeling the threat of dropping a rock on YHC’s head, we hit the rock pile first for three rounds of overhead presses, dollar bill pickups, and ruh-rows. [Read More]

Letting Go at Slippery When Wet

After two and a half years of posting, YHC finally got around to Q’ing. It was a glorious day for a VQ as the feel of fall was in the air and the PAX were in a jovial mood. We had 22 PAX in attendance (including 1 doing the IronPAX) and there were no FNGs. We started with the pledge and then ran to the playground-facing lot for a warm up as it was the only lit area in the entire AO beyond the bathrooms. [Read More]

Stetson Original

YHC had the opportunity to do my VQ at the AO where I started F3 nearly one year ago. I planned my workout on paper, used google maps to count light poles, drove through the office complex parking lot a few times, so I felt ready up until I got to the parking lot for the main event. Then my nerves got the best of me and I botched the mission and tried to say the Pledge of Allegiance in cadence and forgot the disclaimer for the FNG. [Read More]
