Last week I was in a COP with Repeato, and somehow Chumbawumba’s earworm Tubthumping came up. He said “oh yeah, you can do burpees to that song.” It inspired me to cook up a Q where we did the three musically-synced workouts that immediately come to mind. This morning was a perfect morning to get some good B.O. (The workout site not the stench…duh), and 8 pax got a healthy dose (of possibly both). Filling 45 minutes 3 minutes at a time

The major upside to this slow re-open is the opportunity to (relatively) last minute decide to Q previously never visited locations. Especially those that (usually) have Q-spots filled up months and months in advance. Point Break, an AO I know only as a result of the Waverly Wednesdays from a by-gone era, is one such location. I take it back…. there was that fantastic Daddy-Daughter Date-Night at Waverly last year. 11 PAX joined YHC at Bond Park this morning for a great start to the weekend. It is good to see things returning to somewhat normal slowly after the last few weeks of staying home. YHC signed up to Q for accountability. If your name is on the Q sheet, theres a very high likelihood you will make it to the work out. YHC didn’t sleep very soundly the night before Q-ing at Phoenix, and wasn’t sure why - perhaps the anticipation of clocking another year old and wiser (?) or perhaps the gnawing feeling of a half planned Q. Standing around the parking lot at the original CARPEx Thursday AO, one of the OGs dropped a bomb: “I hear those boys in Apex are thinking of a separation. With all the growth in Apex, it may be time for them to get their own region” You could hear a pin drop.
