FWD Home of the Inverted Sunrise

Date : 02/27/18 QIC Fluoride The Pax: Hermes, Ollie, Cheddar Bo, Smokey, Jigglypuff, Tofu, Freebird, Netscape, Fluoride Showed up at FWD with shovel flag in hand and time to plant it. Its a crisp morning, but thank God the rain has passed and we have a clear sky above. Someone pointed out the space station which passes directly overhead right at 5:45 to kick off our workout this morning. With temps in the 40’s 9 eager Pax are ready to get moving to stay warm so we head to the circle in front of the park to warm up. [Read More]

Thank God for parking Decks

Wake up to yet another Rainy morning in Cary, seriously!!!! I have signed up for yet another Q in the rain, but thank God there is a parking deck close to the AO where we can exit the downpour. Check the Radar before heading out, yes the rain is here for the duration of our upcoming beat down. Put on the rain jacket and head to BO and surprisingly there are 7 warriors there to meet me, under the eave of the building across the street. [Read More]

'Roid Rage

YHC has been battling some sort of crud for the past 8 weeks, and finally found relief in the form of …STEROIDS! That’s right all you spindly jabronis, can you smell what the doc is cookin’? This mofo is JACKED UP and ready to work out after a 2 1/2 week hiatus. So buckle up, we’re gonna make like a bunch of gym rats and knock out a whole week’s worth of pump in 35 minutes. [Read More]

Bad Medicine

YHC doesn’t venture to this side of Carpex all that often, so it was a treat to visit SWW in the warm muggy gloom with 8 other PAX for a early morning randorama. In part because I don’t want this to be too #vanilla, and also because I just like it, we began our morning with the familiar tunes of Bon Jovi’s Slippery When Wet. How a Def Leppard song slipped in there I don’t know, but I’m not complaining. First Anniversary and Bacon! 2/20

Is they a direct relationship on how long you put off writing a back blast and how good it is? For me, the longer I put it off the shorter it becomes. Probably a matter of opinion if that make it better or not. 1 FNG - Disclaimer by Joe Smith. Nicely done for a lawyer. Run to Chanticleer’s for Warmup - SSH, IW, GM. Merkins+Mountain Climbers+Plank Jacks Run back to the Park parking lot and partner up. [Read More]

A #2 in the Woods is NOT a Double Down!

Nice morning. 63 degrees. Overcast. 15 for insomnia pre-run. Pet Sounds does the Duece in the woods adjacent to parking lot between EC and SNS. All of the ingredients were present. 32 dudes showed up and split into 3 groups. 14 for Boot Camp, 14 for Vespers (further split into two groups) and 4 for Rolling Stones. Gotta love Wednesdays in Bond Park. Pax List includes SNS, Vesper and the Rolling Stone Pax. [Read More]

Back Blast[oise]

I knew I wanted to do it at some point. 8 calendar days into the Q game seemed pretty early to break it out, but @F3CaryBO forced my hand. And as I started to piece together the workout options… there are too many ideas to be contained in 45 minutes, so consider this round one. I may have hidden from the Q spotlight for a year, but now my penchant for gimmicky theme is coming into view and I can hide it no longer. [Read More]

Another Rainy Day in Kryptonite City

Date : 02/19/18 , QIC Fluoride Roll up to Kryptonite for my Q with 2 mins. to spare, early for me. Surely it won’t rain 3 weeks in a row, Wrongggg!!! Granted it was a light rain and slightly cold, but rain none the less, and I hate to work out in the rain. The usual crew was there but good to see some new faces, Snots, Jigglypuff, Texas Ranger and Yogi, and Burt who is semi-regular, hard to miss him when you get out of the car, pontificating on the news of the weekend. JP's VVQ

After returning home from the Oak City Recovery Run Club block party on Tuesday night, I sat with the M watching the Bachelor Winter Games (because I suppose that’s more entertaining than the quadrennial actual winter games), looking at a map of Bond Park, and perusing the exicon and this fine F3 nation page. It was a 2 hour show. We are diehard Bachelor fans (cc: @AndrewPass and @AP013 on Twitter). [Read More]

DECATHREAT

Inspired by the recent Octothreat discussions and workouts in both Carpex and Louisville, YHC presents the Decathreat. It’s like the Octothreat, but two more. Why jump right over one more to two more? Because two more is one more than one more, and one more would be called “nonathreat”, which sounds way too much like “not a threat”. Warm-Up Mosey over to the parking lot in front of the shelter and circle up for 10 x 10 [Read More]
