True HIM Tribute

Just a bit moist & slippery – maybe it’s the perfect conditions for Slippery When Wet…. Wow – pulling in the parking lot, Flacco’s light bar blinded & spotted a few good men already there….. & then they just kept streaming in via car, EC run, or rescue boat it seems…. FNG was briefed on the F3 disclaimer 1:1 – he & his dad in for the weekend up from Florida with other family to support Liverpool. [Read More]

Apparently Not Problematic

As YHC was making my way around the gathering PAX, I noticed that several of them were noticeably away from the shovel flag, like they wanted to leave or something. Whatever. You Vesperers just go do your thing. I’ll take the small but mighty group and go do, oh I don’t know…a bootcamp. Here’s what we did: Warmup Jog up Maury O’Dell and to the other end of Bond Park Drive (I think it is) for: [Read More]

My Perogative!

Date: 2/7/2019 QIC: WWW AO: Back-in-Black PAX: Hermes, FNG High Splits, Hi-Liter, Lightbrite, Swank, Theismann, Texas Ranger, WWW, Yoga Mat I was a little worried about my right knee this morning because I tweaked it posting at FMJ while doing some hill work. Even with two bum knees, I could not let the PAX down and circumsack. Lucky for me, I’m the Q and I can control the mileage. I tested it before start and the pain was not bad enough to bow out. FNGs Abound

The PAX recruiting game showed up strong on this A.M. as we had 3 FNGs make their way into the gloom. The Disclaimer was necessary. As I type this I am just now realizing I forgot to lead us in the Pledge of Allegiance. This is a priority and so I recognize now the men and women who go and have gone into harms way to protect the liberties that we as a United States of America hold as unalienable. [Read More]

Last Minute Q-Omaha

13 PAX gathered, and some were hoping for a Squatter Q. Others got the Slack message the Squats would be resting up for the Maynard and YHC would be jumping in with quotes and 100’s and other fun stuff. Several (I believe 5) for pre-run. No FNGs. Thang - Jog to Chanticleers for a standard warm-up and some merkins. Then for some light pole fun. 3 hand release merkins (signature move! [Read More]

Half-Century Mountain

Upon checking the weather last night, I posed the ‘more PAX than degrees Fahrenheit challenge’ to the Twittersphere. This ended up being way closer a proposition than we thought it’d be! 25 > 22. With our strong crew of 8, take a lap around the parking lot, and venture into the park. Pause for a warmup consisting of 10 x GM (here comes Pivot) 1 penalty burpee 10 X IW [Read More]

The Dutch Skater

The call went out the night before for an EC run at 0500 and the following HIM showed up: Michelob, Chanticleer, Largemouth, Snots, Sub and YHC. Four miles later and with just 1 minute to spare before the bell rang at 0530, YHC asked for FNGs, heard no response and Moseyed to the other side of the school.
